i know i've said it before, but I have a serious man-crush on Toby. The man is a tank on the field and an outstanding person in general.

          Wonderlic results:

          Peyton Hillis = 17
          Knowshon Moreno = 13

Sorry but it's always fun to own Papa-troll to show who is truly borderline retarded
          wow moreno scored a 13!?

i know brains dont apply to the rb position but i always imagined knowshon as a smart kid.

Yeah I remember that. Wonderlic tend to matter for thinking positions which are QB and C which are thinking mans positions. Ive heard the argument for NT but they rarely orchestrate things like the others do

I hope we get Gerhart because we need him he fits the system as a great power FB and can pound the football. He is one of the few players I would be disappointed in losing

He is a smart kid, just listen to him speak. At any rate, Football IQ is more important than "book smarts". Vince Young's wonderlic suggests that he is illiterate (seriously), but his Football IQ is not an issue and hasn't been an issue.

I wonder if the NFL takes the "white" factor into account when drafting certain positions ha

                  I didn't watch ...

... very much college football during the '09 season, but did watch four whole Stanford games.

They were the last four regular season games: Oregon, at USC, Cal and Notre Dame.

                  Oregon couldn't stop him in a scoring contest; 224 yds/38 carries/3 TDs.

Stanford blew out USC 55-21, and Toby had 181yds on 29 carries for 3 TDs and 1 rec for 9 yds.

He had 139 yds on 20 carries 4 TDs and a catch for 29 yards in a losing effort to Cal.

Against Notre Dame, Stanford had to come from behind to win 45-38. Gerhart contributed 206 yds on 29 carries for 3 TDs. He completed a pass for for 18 yds and another TD, and caught a pass for 33 yds on a crucial scoring drive.

I should have made the trip to El Paso for the SunBowl. Stanford lost a close one to Oklahoma 27-31 without the services of their starting QB, Andrew Luck who was out with a broken finger.

Until Hillis was traded, I didn't give Toby Gerhart much thought as a prospective Bronco. Now the Broncos need an extra RB with power/short yardage credentials. He played four years at Stanford carrying 671 times for 3522 yds and 44 TDs; 39 rec for 329 yds, too. That scoring pass he threw against ND was his only pass attempt.

Gerhart seems like the real deal. If the Broncos draft him, he'll be great.

                    just sayin.
I just watched some highlights (just youtube, so not the best, but in this case it works), and he does need to learn to keep his pads down, but he appeared to be more elusive in traffic than I expected. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does at the next level, and I wouldn't be upset to see him wearing the horse on his head.

Yeah did the same thing. What makes him special though is his run blocking skills are a match for his power back skills. If we pass up on him and Hardesty I will be upset. Granted Hardesty is a zone blocker who is ok at run blocking but he is good at pass protection.

Then I guess there is always Dixon I would not except Blount and Scotts injury scares me

I'd rather have Ben Tate than Hardesty, Love Hardesty, but he is a medical mess.

Thats fair but Ben Tate needs to gain some weight like Dwyer but on purpose

The last guy that we drafted that had the rep was Ryan Torain! Gotta learn to keep that pad level low or injuries seem to follow.

Torain had injury problems heck he didnt make it all the field enough to show us how good he really was unless you think 15 attempts in a career is significant
