Obviously, Champ and Andre are the starters. We just gave Nathan Jones a pretty big contract for a nickel CB. At worst he'll be the dime. Alphonso Smith is going to be the 3rd or 4th CB. Tony Carter is cuttable.

However, if you take a CB before the 4th Round, he's never going to play barring an injury, or perhaps on special teams. He'd be the 5th CB on our team, he wouldn't even dress at times. We're definitely not going to take Spievey in the 2nd Round and deactive him. We're not going to deactivate Smith.

If we don't cut Tony Carter, we have no room for a CB on the roster at all. If we release Carter, than we have room for a guy that will be inactive most of the time. An early round CB is just not an option for us, we are in bed with Alphonso Smith for better or worse.

As for Calloway, he's a good option in the 4th Round area. He has experience at both OTs spots and OG. He'd be perfect for a #3 swing OT to replace Polumbus. Tyler is terrible. Kyle is a massive upgrade, and we are definitely looking at swing OTs. If we miss on Newhouse, Calloway becomes a quality fallback plan.
Your right bout taking a corner early. I dont believe will even draft one. Im a big fan on Tony Carter and Alphonso Smith. Ive met Carter while he was at FSU and I had the chance to watch him practice and play. I was always impressed with him. But as far as Spievey goes we probably wont draft him but I could see him slip into the late third and McDaniels and company have a disscusion.

McDaniels love competition even if we are stacked at a position. He's always said if he feels a player can help the team regardless of position he would not shy away from him.

Calloway would be a upgrade over Tyler but I still wouldnt think about him until the 5th. I dont see much upside in him. He's a project player for 2 to 3 years and I dont think we have that kinda time to put into him. The risk is higher than the reward if he's draft anything before the 5th rd.

With Quinn I don't think we'll be taking a QB in this draft.

I think we will still draft a QB this year. This could be KO's last year depending on how his season goes. I understand we traded for Quinn, but we really didn't give up anything for him, so i can see us drafting a QB this year and keeping some pressure on Quinn. At this point, we don't know how good Quinn is going to be, we're just assuming that he is going to do good because he ran the same offense at ND. Now if we would've gave up a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rd draft pick, then i would feel more comfortable in saying that Quinn is our guy.

4 day edit function is down, I'll wait until after the final pro days at the first part of April, and we'll update this thing. In the meantime, keep the information coming, though the frontpage won't be updated.

          **Update**

Broncos one of 27 teams that attended North Carolina's Pro Day:

Prospects: (NT Cam Thomas, NT Aleric Mullins)

Mullins had a tremendous workout, everyone needs to be familiar with him. He's a 6'1, 320 lb NT. He ran a 4.89 40, 35 reps at 225, and was tremendous in drills. He had a medical issue hold him out of the Combine, but he was invited. The Pats are all over him. He probably moved himself into the 5th or 6th Rounds. It's always nice to have another sleeper option. He was sort of buried behind Cam Thomas and Marvin Austin in the NC DT rotation.

LeFevour is going to have the attention of many scouts, but I suspect we are taking a good look at the receivers, Antonio Brown in particular (slot receiver / returner).

                  **Update**

Denver was one of 11 teams that did NOT attend UCONN's Pro Day (and I'm absolutely shocked by this actually):

Prospects: (WR Marcus Easley, OT/OG Mike Hicks, DE/OLB Lindsey Witten)

I have to assume the team will bring in Easley for a private workout, you'd think the Broncos would have wanted to take a look at him, Hicks, and Witten).

Anybody know if we'll be at the Boise State pro day tomorrow?

Probably don't have Kyle Wilson on our radar since we just took Smith last year, but I was just curious being a Boise native and all.

I don't think any other Broncos are even considered draftable this year, I could see Richie Brockel getting an UDFA contract though

I think Denver will take a look at Brockel. They have been looking at FB's this offseason. He's fairly versatile too, in addition to being a traditional smash-mouth blocker. He can contribute on special teams and he can play some H-back too. If Richie wouldn't have gotten hurt he would have probably been considered a late round draft pick. I think Kyle Wilson working out will give him some needed attention.

So, does anyone know if any Bronco reps attended Boise's Pro Day? There were 28 teams represented, but this article doesn't say who. It doesn't look like he will have a visit with the Broncos, which is not a surprise.

Gil Brandt said all 32 teams had reps present, including 6 DB coaches.

Denver was one of three teams to attend Air Force's Pro Day.

Denver was at Texas Pro Day.

Texas QB Colt McCoy completed a perfect 58-of-58 passes at the Longhorns' Wednesday Pro Day.

The Lions and Rams were the only two teams not represented on UT's campus. McCoy, throwing to Jordan Shipley and current Bengals WR Quan Cosby, among others, reportedly exhibited arm strength inferior to Sam Bradford's. NFL.com's Gil Brandt did observe that McCoy "had really good feet and moved around well while throwing the ball." The athletic, if diminutive and weak-armed quarterback will appeal to teams that utilize short-passing offenses.
