    Youtube is not watching tape...

Walton is a perfect fit for our new blocking scheme, and he is also 10x the prospect Olsen is. Olsen is a 4th or 5th round pick at best...

We will be screwed if we don't come away from the draft with Pouncey, Walton, or Tennant. Pouncey and Walton could both play at a high level from day one IMO.

I never said youtube i have a fair few games reported (two with Baylor in this year) How can you say Walton is 10x the prospect when he is weaker and less agile then Olsen

      Combine numbers

      Drill Olsen Walton
      Bench Press 35 34
      40 time 5.22 5.24
      3 cone drill 7.50 7.60

Olsen also blocked for a quarterback that had a great season and a underrated rushing attack, Walton blocked for a team that threw more picks then touchdowns and just over 1200 yards rushing. this to me shows Olsen was getting it done in allowing his offence to play well while Walton did nothing and you can't say Notre Dame had a a better line when people have been saying all year the offensive line is the weakest part of the team while Baylor's in considered one of the strongest parts of there team

Baylor players have tended to be overrated -- e.g., Jason Smith. I'm not sure why pundits hype Baylor Bears when the team is usually at the bottom of the Big 12.

Admittedly, I have not studied J.D. Walton, but my suspicion is that he will turn out much like his fellow Bear, Smith, a mediocrity who was inexplicably hyped into a first-round draft pick. Remember, these supposedly great O-linemen played on the same offense, an offense that failed to score 20 points in seven of its 12 games last season. The Bears managed 3 points against a Texas A&M defense that gave up 30 to Utah State. Baylor's combined record the last two seasons was 8-16.

I would hope we draft Pouncey, Tennant or Olsen. Walton is probably worth a 4th or 5th-round pick.

without a doubt walton is better than olsen. anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. pouncey, walton, n tennant r the only centers in this draft that can start from day one. olsen is more of a developmental prospect. n u don't need to be bigger or more athletic to be a better center. dan koppen who played in this system with mcdaniels wasn't big, strong, or athletic but he was smart, instinctive, n very sound in his technique. that's a huge part of what makes a center great n that's a big part of why walton is graded so highly. his intangibles r off the charts n we all know mcdaniels likes that. n u can't say a player is bad cuz he played on a bad team n his part of the team wasn't good. archie manning played on a terrible team but was still very good. n can't say that especially for an offensive lineman when there r still 4 other lineman. just cuz the line wasn't good as a whole last year doesn't mean walton was bad. plus add in the fact that they lost a pair of all league tackles including the number 2 pick in the draft n lost their dynamic, playmaking all league QB to injury for the rest of the year right at the beginning of the year n baylor doesn't have the best all around talent. u couldn't expect them to be good but just cuz the team was bad doesn't mean every player was. n btw jason smith has played only 1 year in the league so u can't label him a bust yet. u have to get him 2 to zr more years. he has elite athleticism n could still easily end up being an elite left tackle

So let me get this straight, you are saying that Olsen is a way better prospect because he put up one more rep of 225, ran .02 seconds faster in the 40, and .1 seconds faster in the 3 cone?

            God I love the combine

It makes so many people believe they are scouts.

It's like those "for Dummies" books...

...it will give you a basic idea, but in the end you should probably just let the professionals do their job.

Olsen will be a very good back up OC/OG, but he may not ever start in the NFL. He is not on the same level as Walton.
