Anyone who thinks evaluating a draft prospect as a boom or bust after 1 year in the league is a buffoon.

Every player should get 3 years, even the ryan leaf's and jamarcus hutt's of the world.

Oh no, let the Raiders give JaMarcus 10+ years
(just don't let him own us in our house anymore)

        LMAO.

What is it about backups playing well when they come off the bench?

        It's SO frustrating.

I know JaMarcus didn't suddenly start preparing harder when he was benched.

I agree.... I am just going off of talent lvl coming in. Where I would listen to someone argue that #27 was a top 20 talent coming in, there is no way that you can say that about Ayers. Everywhere I have looked cept for Mayock.. He is a fringe first round pick.
Thanx Blondie79 for the sweet Sig....Love it and I will rock it with pridesigpic

Apparently Chris Simms missed the memo about that one

Oh... well... maybe it's inversely proportional to the performance of the player they're replacing. Orton was having a good game, so Simms had to suck.

                2.Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech
                Didn't do much.

                3.Robert Ayers DE Tennessee
                Didn't do much.

                4.Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia
Didn't do much, though O-line was principal problem.

                5.Brandon Pettigrew TE Oklahoma State
                Didn't do much.

                6.Jason Smith OT Baylor
                Benched.

                16.Josh Freeman QB Kansas State
No way was Freeman a 1st-round caliber draft pick.

                17.Darius Butler CB Connecticut
                What, no Jairus Byrd?

Sorry, I just don't think much of any of the talent evaluators.
