Okay so hear me out on this. What if we contact Seattle and tell them in addition to Marshall for their first round pick we will also throw in Andre Goodman. We do this with the idea of grabbing Haden with that pick (this would likely have to be a draft day trade, assuming Haden is there at either the 6th or 14th pick). If we pick up Haden, I believe he will be ready to start opposite Champ from day 1, and with us already having good competition at the nickel, Goodman becomes very expendable. While I liked Goodman last year and would be very comfortable with him starting for us, I believe Haden is a rare talent and could be one of the next elite cornerbacks in the league. At the very least he would be an upgrade at a very important position on our defense. I don't know if Goodman will be the extra push we need for that first pick, but this doesn't sound too crazy to me. What do y'all think?

Interesting trade idea involving Goodman.

Well, this would be for those in the camp that think Marshall being traded is a foregon conclusion I guess. Try to get the most for him you can, and like I said, getting Haden makes Goodman expendable, so this is just to help get the deal done for the 1st. We would still probably address WR later in the draft, as almost everyone in here wants us to do still. Hell, we can still grab Dez with our other first and go OL the next pick or 2.

Personally, I think that would be insane. Why would we give up a proven top 5 wide reciever and a defensive starter for an unproven draft pick. Marshall demands atleast a first rounder by himself, otherwise keep him and don't trade. We have made some good strides on defense in FA and this is not one of the top needs to be addressed. My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter

I think taking Haden at #6 is to high and he will no doubt be gone by #14... We would most likely have to use pick #11 on him, which i would have no problem doing.
I really like Goody and think he is a top 3 #2 CB in the NFL and would hate to seem him go. But getting Haden would be an awesome idea as he could be mentored by the best corner in the league since Prime-Time...

Would like to stock pile picks, if there are trading partners we should trade down and draft Iupati , and i think Dallas could be be a trade partner because they are in need of an OT, after releasing Flozell Adams.
And BTW trading Goodman and Marshall for Seatle 6th overall pick is a horrible idea.

He lead the team in INT's why trade him.
I like having my cousin's dad on my team. Andre is a good player,Seattle doesn't want or need a CB plus we don't need Haden. Our CB core will be good this year better than last year. Champ knows he struggled last year,Goodman will try to be better,Jones is here,Smith looks to prove something, and if Tony Carter makes the cut we have a good depth.sigpic
