If we took Clausen would you guys like that?

I know we have Orton and Quinn but would you be opposed to taking Clausen with the 11th pick. I saw that he might fall out of the top ten so just wondering if you guys would pull the trigger on this guy?

I would consider it but I know we have more pressing needs but the thought of him landing to us would be hard for me to pass him up but thats just my opinion lol. We have to do something and he can learn from Quinn in the process. Love Orton but I think he would be the odd man out after this season so why not bring him in and let him study under Quinn.

True I really don't see anyone other than Bryant worth that 11th pick as far as needs for us so if they did want to trade back with us I think that would be the best thing for us to do at that selection.

First of all, no quarterback will study under Quinn at this point. Not happening. Orton is by far a better option right now. Quinn himself has a lot to study before he gets on the field ready to play consistently like a franchise quarterback. The upside is surely there, high ceiling and all, but it might take some time. I won't deny that Clausen has potential and is a 1st round pick, but it would make no sense for us to get him. Our path is clear: Orton will lead our team until Brady Quinn is ready to challenge him and without pressure Brandstater will try to make something happen in his favor.

We cant use him as trade bate where we are in the draft. The only teams below us that may want him are Seatle and San Fran. They could each have drafted him before us. Our best bet is to show interest and see in one of those teams drafts him high, thus allowing somebody else to slide down.

WERE NOT GOING TO TAKE DEZ BRYANT AT 11. mcdaniels is already trying to trade a problem reciever who is probably the 2nd best WR in the league, why draft another one who probably isnt even going to be a blip on the radar this year. we NEED OLINE help and thats what he will address with lupati or pouncey later in the draft (doubt the puncey move though cause mcdaniels seems real comfortable with the centers on our team now)

why moreno has the potental to be one of the top running backs in the league, I want to see a good offensive line in front of him and lets see what he can do. oh also a true FB like john connor
