  • My new 4 round Bronco mock

Okay I finally made a new all Bronco mock after making a league wide 4 round mock. So without further hesitation, my 4 round Bronco mock!

Trade Brandon Marshall to St. Louis for their 2nd (#33)

Trade Tony Scheffler to Cincinnati for their 4th (120)

    11. NT Dan Williams 6'2 327 Tennessee

I loved the signing of Jamal Williams and he should be a solid Nose Tackle for a good 2-4 years, but then when he retires what do we do then? If we draft Williams here we'll be a getting a solid NT for the future, and a solid backup should Jamal go down at any time.

    33. WR DeMaryius Thomas 6'3 224 Georgia Tech

This WR class is pretty deep, and for that reason Thomas should fall out of the 1st and will be right here waiting for us to draft him. He will be a great replacement for Marshall, which we will obviously need with us moving him to St. Louis.

    45. RB Toby Gerhart 6'0 231 Stanford

With us bringing him in for a workout, I think that the Broncos will seriously consider drafting him, but it'll have to be here because he won't last until 80. Buckhalter was banged up a great deal last season, and if that happens again getting Gerhart will give Moreno somebody to share carries with. And let's be honest, the last guy we had from Stanford had some success with us. :thumb:

    80. ILB Brandon Spikes 6'3 249 Florida

Minus one eye-gouging incident and a slow 40 this guy is a 1st rounder, and IMO has first round talent. I was skeptical of him until I watched some YT videos on him (I know it's not game tape but I don't have access to that) and I was very impressed. There are some great LBs in this draft so he should fall to 80, and if he does we get our potential future ILB.

    114. C Matt Tennant 6'5 300 Boston College

Center is a huge need, but we can wait until a later pick and get Tennant. If Tennant is off of the board by now (which could be possible) than this pick is Eric Olsen out of Notre Dame, another big dude that'll be great for our team.

    120. Denver Broncos draft OT John Jerry 6'5 328 Mississippi

It is highly unlikely that he falls to this pick, but with the draft you never know so it's possible. If only for depth, John Jerry will be a great addition for our team, and can step in and keep the O-Line strong if somebody should go down with an injury.

Would you be content with this draft? Feel free to comment, critique, and offer suggestions as to who you would like! :salute!:

I absolutely love this mock with the exception of Brandon Spikes. Eye gouging is a completely horrible thing to do, and I immediately wrote him off of my book. I also don't think Tennant (who is my favorite Center in this draft, even if he is a little small) will get out of the third round. Otherwise, I am in love with the Toby Gerhart and Dan Williams picks. Williams will be a great rotational player with J-Wall and Gerhart is an outstanding goal-line pounder, who with proper training, can turn into a very Kevin Faulk-esque back.

Thomas may struggle initially with route-running, but might be a great #1 receiver down the road pending on his coaching and desire to play.

Wow, honestly my favorite draft ive seen on the boards in weeks. I really doubt Matt Tennant will still be there when we pick, nad I wouldn't mind a DE or CB if he's gone, but the other picks are superb

If we don't get a top 20 pick for Marshall I'm going too be pissed. Besides that it's a pretty awesome draft.

Yeah I had my doubts about putting Spikes in there, but as far as I know the eye gouge was his only misconduct. I don't approve of it, but it does get heated down there on the field and sometimes you don't think, I also have my doubts about Tennant reaching us but if he doesn't Eric Olsen should be there. Thanks for replying so far everyone! :salute!:

I can understand why guys like Dan Williams from Tennessee, but I thought I'd ask a question of everyone. We have been looking at the DT's coming out in this draft and, of course, Williams is one name being tossed around a bit. The one thing I hear quite often, is that not many of the ones available this year have played primarily in a 3-4 defense. Cody seems to be one who has and seems to be the favorite amongst a few Bolt fans. Is the fact that Williams and others have little to no experience in a 3-4 scheme a reason for any concern?

Sorry man i hate it.Dan williams is a solid pick but why would we go for Gerhart when we let go of Hillis? We also did bring McCluster in for a workout so i think if we are going to take any HB in the second its going to be McCluster not Gerhart.Spikes is not going to make it past mid second so to me your value is off with the Spikes pick going in the 3rd.Also Tennant might be there in the 4th but theres no way Jerry makes it past the 3rd.He is the best run blocking G in the draft and he has way to much power and size to make it past Dallas in the 3rd.

While i suppose it'd be nice when drafting a NT, to be drafting a guy who played NT in college, simply that very few colleges play a 3-4 just doesn't present that option very often. I spose it could be a concern, but its almost always going to be a concern when drafting a NT and if you really give it any weight at all than you could easily be passing up the better guy for your roster. Even if you had 2 players who you were evaluating to a fairlysimilar skill level for your team at the next level, I don't think i'd give prior experience in a 3-4 enough weight to effect the decision.

What makes me comfortable with Williams is his tackle numbers. Williams, like a NT was expected to just eat up blocks a lot, yet he posted great tackles numbers. There's not many DTs who've done ~50 tackles for the past 2 seasons, and especially doing it with a NT frame. Plus great senior bowl etc..., but really I think when going about the risky hit or miss business of getting a NT, there's nothing more assuring then seeing good tackle numbers.

I think everyone thinks of the Spikes to years ago granted he is still good but when your numbers begin to decrease every year there is a problem

i'd rather get a Center with #45, but i like your thinking with this mock.

Agreed but Tennant is the 3rd best center in the draft getting him in the 4th isnt impossible but it would be a steal.

I actually agree with this concern.

I went into the offseason wanting a tried and true nose.

I have a real problem with guys that dont get that part of there job is staying in playing shape esp. if you are to play in Mile High, which is why i wrote Cody off immediatly.

SO.......this was why I started touting Torrell Troup from UCF. 4 yrs at the nose. Understands what it means to be a NT and from a technique standpoint is way ahead of the other projected NT in this draft.

ps. I would be really pissed you guys or KC draft this kid
I need more Oline, please and thank you
