  • My best mock yet

Trade 11 and 220 to the patriots for 47 and 53

    22. Maurkice Pouncey
    45. Damian Williams (or Mardy Gilyard or Demariyus Thomas my personnel favorite)
    47. Toby Gerhart (or Montario Hardesty)
    53. Koa Misi (Fell in love with at the senior bowl or Jason Worilds)
    80. Torrell Troup (or Linval Joseph my personnel favorite)
    114. CJ Wilson (or Mike Neal)
    183. Armanti Edwards (too many people like him for me not to include him)

FA Joe Hawley (would have gotten a Center/Guard sooner but this will probably be the best Center/Guard to fall in FA and UNLV's best run blocker in the draft plus Floridas = dominance)
    FA C.J. Lovett
FA Brent Bowden or next available punter
FA Cole Pemberton or best available OT
FA I want a kicker but we seem sold on Prater since we resigned him while Carpenter is still available

I know some of you wanted a G who can start but Hawley is a good C/G we have Olsen and Kuper and I think Hochstein and McChesney make good backups Hawley will be a solid backup to Pouncey and if Pouncey goes down he can go in or Hochstein can

    I dont trust Fry.

Also I dont think CB is a pressing need yet. Lovett may or may not work out but it wont be the end of the world if he doesnt. If we trade Marshall or Scheff we can make a move on Kareem Jackson or we go after Tyson Aluau (or Alex Carrington) then draft Alteraun Verner or (Donovan Warren if he drops) instead of CJ Wilson (ALTHOUGH ALL OF THIS DEPENDS ON WHAT WE GET IF WE GET ANYTHING)

Armanti Edwards will be the next great Broncos QB!!!!

The only team Im really worried about getting Pouncey in the 1st is GB but to be safe:

          45. JD Walton

Our first pick will be the best available WR which could be Bryant or Benn even if it pains me to say it but this would be the best way to use that pick at this point

Armanti will probably be a good trick play QB and WR/KR he is essentially our Antwaan Randle El

Give me all the criticism you want heck if yould change anything tell me but this would be IMO an ideal draft for us

            Our 1st and a 7th (11+220) for the Patriots 1st and two 2nds (22+47+53)?

Belichick would have to be drunk to make that trade.

What? You want to trade our first for two of their seconds. This value is way too little.... I assume you also want pick #22 based on your players and then the value is way off the other way.

You might want to try again at creating your best mock ever...

Yeah I meant the 22nd and I originally had us giving up or 6th and maybe another one next year but the 7th sounded better. The Pats have 3 2nd rounders and to move 11 spots up in the 1st there 2 latest 2nd rounders for 1 or 2 late round picks is actually not a bad deal. Deals like that get made all the time. Heck many coaches trade a 2nd rounder for a 6 spot increase that's a common move.

Especially if Bill wants Bryant which some say he does then what I currently have is actually a fair trade

Overall this is a good mock, And with the option I would take Damian Williams over Thomas and Gilyard. But either 3 of those guys I would kill for in the second round. I don't like the Gerhart pick though. I would rather have Dexter McCluster. He can play both RB and WR so we could use him for multiple plays. But thats if McD picked a RB in the 2nd if we get 2 picks.

We need a power back who can block and play FB, McCluster is more of a cut back then the speed back everyone assumes he is we have 2 good cut backs already I dont think we really need another one. I will admit though he is a dangerous weapon who will devalue Moreno as a pick. What we lacked last year was short yardage conversions because we didnt have that power back who can help us on 3rd downs and goal lines

Honestly there are plenty of good WR this year that we can get in the 2nd I think Thomas is the most like Marshall but Damian is probably the most pro-ready WR in this years draft. LaFell practically did what he did without a QB so he is amazing. The only high rated one I have problems with is Mitchell who is just an athletic juggernaut.

Next years draft has much better WR. AJ Green, Julio Jones, Michael Floyd, and Jonathan Baldwin.

Yeah you have a point right there. In that case I guess Gerhart is that missing piece. Maybe we would still be able to get him in the 3rd though?

That is a definite possibility and if not Tate Hardesty or Dixon my be available. Tate needs to gain about 10 lbs. and he and Hardest are more zone blockers and pass protectors Dixon is the best power run blocker available after Gerhart.

At this point Gerhart might be the pick in the 2nd or 3rd round he had his workout with us I believe so thats a sign right there if anything.

True many think he is a lock for us because of the fact he is considered a bulldozer who ran 120 carries in 5 games the guy is reliable. His blocking skills are amazing to he may not be the next Lorenzo Neal but he can block better then most RB or FB in the draft

Only problem is if we dont take him in the 2nd round I think the steelers will get him.
