Its not like our line is terrible. Clady and Harris are good at the tackle spots.

Olsen cost a 4th last year and McD seems high on him for LG, Iowa seems to produce some good lineman.

Kuper was tendered with a FIRST, I read a report that if we tendered him with a 2nd he would be gone. So Josh likes him at RG in this system, he will play and it seems like the rest of the league probably rate him as well, he is big enough and good enough in any system IMO.

I agree we need a C and I don't want Pouncey at 11, lets just take JD at 45
Walton lacks the athleticism that Pouncey has and Tennant lacks the skills. Its easier to develop skills but still hard I would rather have Tennant if we cant get Pouncey. I know the combine says differently but Walton doesnt have that initial punch that would be best for us. Also its hard to find a center who can move around the interior like Pouncey and he can even be a RT ild say Eric Olsen is the next most versatile C.

That said Ild rather drop down if we can and draft Pouncey in the 1st and a WR in the 2nd.

Pouncey is more of a need than Iupati.

Seth Olsen can play LG. We really have no one to play C, only one is possibly Seth Olsen. But he has never played C.

Iupati would really just be a luxury more than a need.

Besides the fact that it's debatable whether or not Center is a bigger need than Guard, Iupati is a better prospect than Pouncey and you don't take Centers at 11 unless they're a Bigger/Stronger/Faster/Quicker Nick Mangold, and even he wasn't taken til 29.

Furthermore, it's not like "Need" has anything to do with the 11th pick, Denver didn't "Need" Knowshon Moreno as bad as they needed front seven players but they took him anyway.

You "Need" to be asking yourself if 11 is too high for Jonathon Dwyer or if next years No1 is too much for Javier Arenas.......

... I feel the need for the Broncos to draft Jared Odrick at #11.

          I don'y know exactly what you're saying, but that's what I'm sayin'.

Your talking about the guy who replace Kevin Mawae. He is going to be a hall of famer someday thats the kind of Center we are talking about but your right Pouncey is not as fast, but he is as strong if not stronger.

Kristofer O'Dowd is the only center who would be better but he decided to return because of his injury last year.

              I don'y know exactly what you're saying, but that's what I'm sayin'.
I know exactly what you're saying, DL help, and I couldn't agree more, but imo, it's the same as taking a Center at 11, that's too high for a 34 DE, even a 5-technique.......just ask the Chefs. As I'm sure you know sam, you're mostly asking 34 DE's to occupy blockers, even in NE's system, and I think we can agree that Odrick is not going to give them a Richard Seymour presence.

Now if we were talking about a cornerstone NT, that's different, imo.......

I'm mostly weighing the advantages of Iupati over Pouncey, anyway, and I love Iupati.

It's also debatable whether or not Center is a bigger need, Kuper may be on borrowed time and Seth Olson/Russ Hochstein are journeymans, neither of whom conjure up images of the punishing power running games that McDaniels can't live without.

Center, on the other hand, seems to be a position that is easier to fill, imo, you rarely hear of a team that is one Dermonti Dawson from being a Super Bowl contender, seems to be the common perception is that the position can be adequately filled with intelligent players that can't cut it at G or T for whatever reasons.......

At this point Olsen is the best value for a center in the draft. He will be a solid, tough inside player and can be taken in the 3rd or 4th round. I think he will have a better career than either Walton or Tennant. He only played center for 1 year and will continue to get better.

If I player isnt going to be around when you select next......Then it isnt a reach. I would rather take the guy you want 20 picks to early then wait and possibably lose him.

i like pouncey but 11 is just waay to high for a C. if we trade back and get hi later, or draft iupati in the 2nd im fine with that

some say the steelers really want Pouncey so its kinda think we can trade SF and get maybe a 3rd we may even get a 2nd. However this all depends if C.J. Spiller is still on the board and how committed they are to drafting him

I doubt Earl Thomas or Trent Williams will be on the board but the big thing is they may not want Spiller because maybe they decided Anthony Davis was good for them
