  • You'll be most shocked if we draft _________

Assuming we stay at #11 and don't trade up or down, who'll you be the most surprised to see in Orange and Blue? For me it's got to be Dez Bryant or CJ Spiller (assuming he falls that far, which he probably won't) :salute!:

I fail to see why Dez Bryant would be shocking. Spiller definitely though, Spiller would be the wrong pick having drafted Moreno in the exact same spot last year. Trying 60mil + into a rookie and 2nd year RB is simply not the way to build a franchise.

Im positive both Spiller and Dez Bryant will be avaliable at #11. If i had to choose I would be the most shocked with McD drafting Spiller. Back to Back RBs in the 1st round 2 years in a row on top of RB not being a need. Regardless I don't want to hear Bryant's name called at all with our pick. I would be way...happier with Spiller if McD was that dumb.

Any OT that is still on the board at 11. Too many other needs to waste a pick when we're already set at tackle.

I will be most surprised if we select Mike Iupati... He is in no way of deserving of a borderline top 10 pick to me, and i would be very enraged if his name came up on our selection card. If we go O-Line in round 1 i really hope its Pouncey.

Iupati is a reach at #11 I think hes a #18 prospect atleast.

60+ million? You're definitely overstating how much rookies outside the top 5 cost.

Knowshon's contract is 5 years $16.7 million. Not too bad But yeah, I agree that 2 1st round RB's back to back would be kinda crazy. It'd be sweet to have Spiller and Knowshon though

                  Dez Bryant.......

I wouldn't have a problem with replacing Marshall with Bryant (if they insist on continuing to demolish what used to be a brilliantly talented offense) but I just don't know if Bryant is Patriot material.

Whether it's fair or not, Bryant is coming into the league with whispers of Prima Donna, I think Golden Tate is a far more likely target for McDaniels if that's the direction that he wants to (continue to) go in.......

DeAngelo Williams and Jonathon Stewart is a 1-2 punch I dream about, and Spiller could really give this offense and it's current QB a much needed playmaker, but just not at 11 and not in a draft that is so good on the Front Seven and OL. Considering Moreno was drafted so high, that puts 11 out of the question, imo, if it were a later pick it'd be less crazy to pick RB back-to-back.

11 is not too high for Iupati if 12 wasn't too high for Moreno, Knowshon was no more the 12th best player in that draft then Iupati is the 11th best in this draft.......

A borderline Top10 pick for a Center makes sense but not for a Guard with Probowl ability? Centers are rarely taken 1st round, much less Top 11, I honestly can't think of any Centers taken that high recently and Pouncey is far from the best Center coming out in the last 10 years.......

Actually, it's 5 years, 23 million. That's what the contract tops out at. But, your point is correct.

Here's the contracts for the top 15 from last draft:

                            1. 6 years, 72 million
                            2. 5 years, 62 million
                            3. 5 years, 57 million
                            4. 6 years, 60 million
                            5. 5 years, 60 million
                            6. 6 years, 42 million
                            7. 5 years, 40 million
                            8. 5 years, 35 million
                            9. 5 years, 28 million
                            10. 6 years, 32 million
                            11. 5 years, 25 million
                            12. 5 years, 23 million <---Moreno
                            13. 5 years, 20 million
                            14. 5 years, 19 million
                            15. 5 years, 18 million

Inflation is usually about 2 million for each selection in the 1st Round. So, at #11, we are looking at handing out a 5 year, 27 million contract.

They have GOT to tone down the money handed out to rookies.

Dear God, I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was THAT bad.
