Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Im not really sure if Morino/Spiller tandem makes a lot of sense but that backfield would be scary, provided we get our LG and OC to get them out of the backfield

Yeah, well, Best wouldnt be bad either. And then next year Jeff Demps might be coming out. But lets say they trade Marshall to, say, Seattle for the 14th pick (I know many think its not going to happen but just hypothetically, lets say), would something like Spiller, Pouncey, and Ducasse be so bad?

BTW...Moreno didnt show that much at the second level last year. Spiller takes some pressure off of him in that, Spiller gives the posibility of going 70 yards on 1 play. Moreno hasnt shown that yet. For the most part, Moreno only got what the blocking gave him last year, which wasnt a lot at times.

I seem to remember Moreno fighting off tackles in the backfield...a lot. He doesnt have Chris Johnson speed, but he can pull away from linebackers and get into the secondary. Last year was his rookie season and rookies always seem to fall off at the end of thier first season. I think his sophmore year will be 1000+yds.
Well lets just say I hope. He showed a lot of promise last year.

I dont think he showed that much promise. He bulked up and seemed to lose some fluidity in his running. It could have also been that he was coached up to follow the design of the play and maximize the runs (ie dont improvize). But, like I said, he didnt really create a lot on his own. If the line gave him 3 yards, he'd get 3 yards. If he had some space in the secondary, he didnt make that many people miss and even fell down sometimes. I would actually say he was frustrating to watch.

But we're stuck with him.
I respectfully disagree with you. Watch some video of last season. The backfield had 1-2 defenders on him as soon as he had the ball on a few occasions and he still got positive yds. He seems to have pretty good speed and has some etrength as well. The percentages probably arent very high but I saw quite a few times that he broke the first tackle. He has a decent stiff arm and when he gets into the second level CAN be elusive. I may be wrong but his second year will be very solid in my opinion
