Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I dont care what people say - this draft was awesome
I dont care what people say - this draft was awesome
We got the:
#1 reciever
#2 QB
#2-3 guard (behind Iupati and maybe Pouncey)
#2 Center
#3-5 CB judged by talent alone (behind Haden, Jackson + a couple more perhaps)
And then we added extra competition at WR, Guard, CB and DE
Couldn't agree with you more. All our players were rated high at their particular positions and all intelligent physical players we also addresses all our needs. Go broncos. The key to our season will depend more on how well the old vets on the D-line play than the draft.
We had no Center and now we have two top prospects to fight for it.
We needed a guard and got one.
I don't think that drafting interior offensive linemen in the first round is really good value so I am not that upset we didn't get Iuapati and Pouncey.
We needed a replacement for Marshall and Sheffler's production. Since TE's aren't used I consider Decker that replacement for Sheffler and Thomas for Marshall.
I can't stand watching too much more of Kyle Orton so I am really really excited about the Tebow pick. He is a playmaker.

THAT is a good draft! :go:
I agree whole heartedly!

Great Job & thanks, WD!
"He had a better career than [Hall of Famer Gale] Sayers did, but he is not held in the same regard. Is that fair to Davis?"--Dan Patrick, ESPN “A great shot is when you pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it.” --Phil Mickelson, 2010 Masters champion

It went almost exactly How I hoped minus a DL and added a QB.
I love it as well, the only thing I would question is taking Beadles over Ducasse! overall I give it a very solid B!
I think Josh really went with guys that were smart, nasty, and hardworking. No knock on Ducasse, who I really liked, but the way we are set up now, if a player gets hurt, the next best OL guy is playing...not just the next best guy at that position.

So true. And it is amazing how people tend to forget free agency...i mean we sign THREE DL capable of stepping right in, but since we didn't DRAFT them...DL is still a need...weird
Yes they are old. Yes we will need guys to replace them at some point, but they are not THAT old. They easily have 3-5 years left in the tank.
Our D is fine - our O has been adressed. Frankly my main worry is the new D-coordinator. If he sucks we are screwed.
I liked a lot of the picks, actually almost all of them but just not at the right time.
22) Demaryius Thomas - i like the pick and it set off the dallas pick of Dez Bryant
25) Tim Tebow - major dislike. i am a fan of tebow the guy but not the player. bad mechanics and whatnot. he knows how to win but in his college system, not a pro system. plus dan williams was still available there as well
45) Zane Beadles - i like the position but i was kinda hoping more for a defensive prospect after going offensive in the first round. beadles will battle for a starting spot tho. i like this
80) J.D. Walton - i really like this Walton. i thought he would be the broncos 45th pick (when they had a first and 2 seconds). good pick in the third.
87) Eric Decker - Decker is one of my favorite players coming out of college and im glad we picked him up. He can replace Stokely when he chooses to retire. But no defensive players had been selected. Cam Thomas (NT, UNC) was still on the board and d-line needed to be addressed somewhere. Thomas was available at later picks as well
137) Perrish Cox - this was a good steal in the later rounds and i was glad that the defensive side was addressed BUT this is wear Cam Thomas would have been a better steal. Cox is a good player and he, Phonzy and the other young bucks can learn from the vets but i would like a young NT to learn from Jamal Williams
183) Eric Olsen - steal. good interior aggressive lineman late in the draft
225) Syd'Quan Thompson - yet another good cornerback. but the front 7 still hadnt been addressed
232) Jammie Kirlew - finally some defensive meat in the draft. adds another 3-4 OLB to compete
overall i like the draft but i was dissappointed that the organization didnt jump at any 3-4 DEs or NTs

I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you guys on this. We overpaid for Tebow, who will end up being more like Michael Vick (on the field) than Elway. We needed defense yet drafted 4 offensive players, including 2 linemen when I thought we already have a top-5 OL. We only got one defensive player who will see any significant playing time. McDumbass is killing this team. He set us back 3-4 years and we have no shot of making the playoffs this year. This is the first time in my 25 years as a fan I can say that, and it hurts.

Whatwhatwhat?
A top 5 oline??? - that just disqualified everything else in your post.
Please count how many 3rd downs and 1 we converted last year?
Two years a go we had a great zone blocking oline. Last year we had trouble. There is a reason why Wiegmann is now a Chief, and why we drafted three o-liners.
