Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

EDIT: Should say Eric Decker, not Erick -_-.
Can not wait till this guy get his chance to shine. I have a feeling we will be using him a lot like Wes Welker in New England. He has natural hands and is a solid route runner. He should get a lot of playing time from day 1.
I agree he will be very good for us and I was stoked we were able to get him in the 3rd, but he doesnt remind me of Welker. Welker is probably one of the quickest guys in the league hands down.
Decker is more of a possesion receiver, big, physical and has the ability to break tackles afer the catch.
Yeah he kinda is like ed mac!Ed was clutch and could take and give hits like crazy.Decker will do his job for sure.We have more then a couple weapons to depend on now. Im pumped!
Eddie Royal is almost certainly turning into the new Welker......right?
I think Eddie can be a great WR, but Elite slot receiver, with Thomas and Decker out wide, with Gaffney backing them up and playing the 4th receiver slot, and Stockley backing Royal up in the Slot.....I think we have a pretty damn nice set for sure

This is how i see it happening, Welker is not necessarily the fastest guy in the league but he moves that quick on his routes he is 10 yards down the field before the defence has a chance to react, I think Royal is physically better then Welker but he is really going to have to work hard this year to get everything in his head then do it on the field.

Sounds like a good line up for sure! I can't wait for training camp and pre-season to see how our rookies are going to contribute.
Uhhh.. I'm pretty sure they are saying Royal will be Welker. Barring some kind of major surgery I didn't hear about, Royal isn't white.
Do you see the way that tree bends? Does it inspire
Leaning out to catch the sun's rays. A lesson to be applied.
Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?

lol - no caring about every white reciever.... I think what we are all looking to say is we want that play. We want a Wes Welker Punishable receiver who is a stud and gets up every time on those quick routes. And I agree. I am really hoping its Royal, without much reason, I just really want royal to be kicking some arse. But whoever it may be.... thats what we want.
"Few receivers boast the Velcro-like hands Decker possesses. Minnesota quarterbacks have targeted him for 354 passes during his career and he dropped just three in 45 games (0.085%). But, it is his ability to get to the simply impossible throws and what he does once he gets the ball in his hands that separate him from the rest of the pack."
Even though we run about of 3-4 WR sets, I believe we picked him up to eventually be our number 2 reciever. We now have two bigger receivers who can play the outside when we are running the ball. Even though McDaniels has show a propensity for throwing the ball at NE, it is quite evident he wishes to run the ball successfully. If you were to ask Shanahan what one of the key assets to a successful running game are, it would be WR blocking. We now have a Demaryius Thomas(who everyone is knocking for his routes, but ignoring the fact that he played in a triple option so he is used to Run Blocking) and Eric Decker, but of whom are bigger, physical bodies who are some of the better Run blocking WR's in this recent draft.

Absolutely correct - if you go back and look at highlights of big running plays, you will almost always see that one of the key blocks was a WR down field.
Remember: If you dont feed the trolls - they will go away! Neither logic nor a compelling argument will make a difference.

WOW how strong are Deckers hands alot of WRs currently in the nfl would of dropped the ball after a hit like that but he kept hold of it thats impressive
