Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

MUG once again, you have outdone yourself. This was a fantastic addition. I also appreciate the kinds words, and I must say that without the help of TX, Hoser, D.J. and Elevation, I would have been overwhelmed. I really like to think this game is evolving and perpetually improving with each year. And like I stated before, and others have commented on, I believe this game will be the envy of the "Draft, Trades and Free Agency" forum either next year or very soon.
MUG, I agree with my grade. Although, I think I got a B, I attribute my B- to Broncos_own_u swindling me out of Leigh Bodden. Well played on his part. But I think Brandon Graham is going to surprise some people, however, he went to a 4-3 speed rushing end with an already stout Dline. So an objective evaluation of how his would have projected in a 3-4 is out the window. Oh, and I'm glad I drafted a player the Broncos got too. Go Eric Decker!!!
Well, here is where my offseason begins. The majority of my posts are between Jan-Draft. That time has come and gone and now I will not be on the forums that often. I will poke my head around here and there, but will most likely not be posting much. Great work this year Gentlemen, and Congrats to Lukic, Ringo, and that trade grifter Broncos_own_u16 on first place. A congrats also to Bowie Man for finally doing the Broncos some justice...."RON BRACE"...who does that in the first round???

For grading purposes, I didn't count the players obtained in real life, just the players you GMs gained/lost since you took the reigns. For team needs, I included them in where I saw potential strengths/weaknesses for the team though.
Kampman was a nice add by the team, but there are reports he won't be able to play before Week 6. And there are concerns how effective he can even be this year coming off the ACL. I really like Derrick Harvey, but he's solely a run plugger at this point. He seems to have taken the Jamaal Anderson career path. Still, that wouldn't be a bad starting duo if everyone is healthy and you have a pass rush specialist to sub in for Harvey on passing downs.
You brought in Jarvis Moss, but I don't think he can play in a 43 defense at all. He can't get his weight over 240lbs. So, if he can't even produce as a pass rushing 34 OLB, I think he's about to be out of the NFL. You swapped out Big John for Marcus Spears. I think that's a wash at best as Spears has been a bust in Dallas. Obviously, in RL, the team decided they wanted to use a pure 3 tech next to NT Knighton for pass rush penetration. In my perception, you didn't bring in any pass rushing forces to the D-line at any position.
I think you improved the LB corps nicely with Butler.
I don't like moving Mathis to Free Safety. The team is not going to do that. I crushed the Houston GM in large part due to changing the scheme his team runs from a 43 to a 34. Though he said he changed it back in the draft. That was because it was unrealistic. I don't want the game to turn into a fantasy league where schemes are changed and players are moved all over. Mathis is the team's best CB, in a division with Manning and Schaub. It makes zero sense to move him and start a rookie. That doesn't help the team at all. He's also in the last year of his deal. The money at CB is almost twice that at Safety. He'd probably hold out if the team tried to move him at this point, it would cost him millions and millions.
So, I think the defense was improved a little, but not much. The D-line remained largely the same to me. No depth and no pass rush. If Kampman can't produce effectively due to the ACL, the team is in major trouble. Jarvis is nothing. LB got better. CB got better. Safety wasn't addressed in my opinion outside of emergency depth. Mathis stays at CB. If the team moves him to Safety, I will break my own rule, and come back and personally redo your grade.
Well i agrre with what you say. But i have heard people argue the same for Bailey moving to safety. Mathis is about to be 30 and a move to safety might actually help the team shortly. I did the move because i felt i had a better shot a getting starting calibur CB in the draft versus starting calibur S help where i was sitting.
