I read somewhere that he reminded our new running backs coach Eric Studesville from Buffalo of Fred Jackson but faster. I know it's still early, but if he's making such good impressions to our coaching staff it's a huge possibility that he'll see a lot of playing time throughout the season. He's 100% healthy and has a huge chip on his shoulder for not being drafted. He was ranked as #3 or #4 running back coming out of high school right along with Rashard Mendehall and Johnathan Stewart and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl right along with Stewart and Mendehall. He has great character and work ethic and could really impress. I heard he asked the team to fax him the playbook and send him some film from last year, so he could be ready for rookie OTA's and reportedly knew more than half of the playbook already. So I'm guessing Coach McDaniels and the rest coaching staff saw enough of him to feel confident with releasing Brown and letting Baker compete with Bruce Hall and Lance Ball for the final running back spot. All I can say is I'm really psyched to see this kid impress in Training Camp and Pre-Season and all I can say for opposing defenses is Watch Out!!!! :go:

I would like to see Baker come in as the #3 RB to handle short yardage situations and keep JJ as #4 for the time when an injury comes up he can step in fresh to help carry the load.
