The SOLE purpose of this thread is to guess who the Broncos starter will be in week 1, and the starter after the bye.

You will also be guessing the depth chart at QB.

You will also guess the QB who is most likely to be traded and when (Pre-season, TC, or Regular Season)

I will start so you can visualize what I am describing.

Week 1: Brady Quinn

After the bye: Brady Quinn

Depth chart: Brady Quinn, Tim Tebow, Tom Brandstater

Kyle Orton will be traded during the preseason.



You get 1 point for guessing the correct starter in the 2 phases of the season.
You get one point for each correct guess at the depth chart (opening day).
You get 1 point for guessing correctly which QB is no longer with the team once the final cut is made.
You get one point for guessing at which point the QB is either released or traded (ie TC, Pre-season, Regular season)

Personally, I don't think there's anyway Tim Tebow ends up 3rd on the depth chart. The Broncos are investing too much in him for him to not get reps during practice, which wouldn't happen if he was buried on the depth chart. This is part of the reason I fealt like starting this thread.

I think the #1 QB spot is for Orton to lose. Tebow and Quinn will battle it out for the 2nd QB spot. Whoever develops faster goes up to 2nd in the depth chart. Quinn would have a slight advantage since he is a veteran.

Orton will be an unrestricted free agent after this season and therefore can't be traded or released next season.

I think McD will have a package of plays for Tebow, and I don't think that he can be the #3 QB (I think it's a rule that if your #3 QB comes in the game, the only way he can come out of the game is if he's injured)

Having Tebow on the team is definitely going to increase viewership throughout the pre-season which could present a situation where Brandstater won't stick on the practice squad if he plays well. Another team would see him and sign him off of there real quick.

Kyle Orton will be traded during the regular season. I think we will try to get something in return for Orton and trade him right before the trade deadline. Maybe to the likes of a Seattle or Buffalo. Tebow is a fast learner and will pick up the NFL quickly. I think he will be able to start week 10.
