  • 2011 Draft Needs and Mock

    Jahvid Best - RB - Cal. - 5-10, 199, 4.35

Best possess an excellent inside quickness that enables him to hit the holes in a hurry. He has a special talent for cutting back in traffic, and gets top speed (4.42) as quickly as any back in the country. Fast enough to get to the corner before the defender arrives, Best owns a second and even a third gear in the secondary. Able to break tackles on the outside, and elusive in space with shifty hips and the ability to shake off defenders. With good overall balance well after making a move or running through arm tackles, Best is a good receiver out of the backfield (16 catches for 221 in 2008) with natural hands.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Here's where a few sites have him going (although I don't rate walter football or draft ace very highly LOL)

    Scott Wright - #49 - San Francisco 49'ers

    Walter Football - #34 - Detroit Lions

    GBN - #40 - San Diego Chargers

    fftoolbox - #34 - Detroit Lions

    DraftAce - #49 - San Francisco 49'ers

So if he falls to us at 43 should we pull the trigger and combine him and Knowshon as 2 very young, talented RB's.

On a side note imagine if we could land Bryant at 11, Best at 43, Alulua at 45 and Walton in the 3rd.

Stud deep threat WR, explosive RB, starting Center and a starting RDE.

The O would certainly have some playmakers again

Jahvid Best would be good at any pick if we can draft him IMO

      If he is there...
I don't think he will be.
You have too many teams in-front of the Broncos to get him.

Waaaay better value than picking CJ Spiller at #11 because they're more or less the same player.

            I know

That was aimed at the people that had or wanting us to take CJ in the first round.

While they're the same type of player, CJ Spiller is still waaay way better than Jahvid Best.

That being said, I'd love to get him in the 2nd round. Knowshon and Best would be an awesome backfield duo for the next 7-8 years.

Best would be a fantastic change-of-pace back to pair with KM. However, we already have that back in Buckhalter - and if we chose Best, Buckhalter would probably be shown the door if not immediately, certainly next season.

I wouldn't be a huge fan of the pick, but I wouldn't be too upset. I'd view it as an upgrade of an already solid (if aging) position. I'm not sure it's a luxury we can afford with so many other glaring needs. I'd rather our first 3 picks be used for WR, OC, OG, DE, NT, or ILBs.

Buck is a player that should have been a starter his whole career but he cant stay healthy. So he is good when healthy but has yet to play a full 16 game season i believe.

So it may not be a huge need but would be insurance in case of an injury.

On that note i dont think we should take a RB within the first 2-3 rounds because of all the other needs but i would not be mad if we did just personal opinion.

Why do i need a link. It is on ESPN. Its not an unknown website or anything. If you cant find ESPN.com you got problems.
