I enjoyed reading you're thoughts on the offense, and look foward to reading your thoughts on the defense.

I think I'm a bit higher on Moreno than you (and much higher on McDaniels), but other than that I agree with pretty much everything else.

The Broncos defense improved dramatically with Peterson and McBean at DE last season, including being very tough against the run.

How does that happen if those players are as bad as you say?

The answer is, it doesn't.

The Broncos defense faded down the stretch when those players started to miss time and their backups played more.

The Broncos defense did not get better in spite of those players, as that is actually impossible. If they did not do a competent job, the defense couldn't have been better, but it was, so obviously those players were a bit better than they have been given credit for.

Peterson is now gone, but I don't see Javon Green as a huge upgrade.

Both McBean and Peterson graded out as two of the worst DE's in the NFL. Both graded out in the negative 20 range, with Peterson being slightly worst. If Peterson had anything to do with our improvement on defense last year I would think he would have found a job in the NFL by now.

The only two d-linemen we had last year that finished with positive grades were Ron Fields and Vonnie Holliday.

IMO, the reason for our turn around was due to a better scheme and the excellent play of our back 8.

I'd like to see what Marcus Thomas could do at DE as well. He is so athletic if he could put it all together he could be a very nice piece.

Yeah I thought about this too but Idk if he's in good enough shape right now. He was putting on weight to play NT and he's at 316 right now. He came into the league just at like 290. I'm not sure if he's still as athletic at 316 as he was at 290

Yeah I thought about this too but Idk if he's in good enough shape right now. He was putting on weight to play NT and he's at 316 right now. He came into the league just at like 290. I'm not sure if he's still as athletic at 316 as he was at 290

He was reported to be trying to lose weight to play DE. This was about two months ago.

Then, by extension, McDaniels opinion sucks, because they started all year.

I didn't say the players were great, but this idea of what they were replaced with is so much better is a joke.

...and at least I have an opinion, unlike a certain meathead who never has a take on anything.

I am not going to update the defensive take, because I just don't care that much anymore.

I have gone from rabid Bronco fan in the past to maybe a casual fan now, if that.

I never used to miss Broncos games, but I can see myself missing more than a few now.

The organization just seems to be cast adrift with no direction.

I don't believe in McDaniels or Tebow, so from there, it's not hard to see there are several more years of frustration on the horizon for Bronco fans.

This post disgusts me. I've lost all respect for you as a fan of the Broncos at this point Mindfield, and to be honest any posts you make from now on hold little validity in my eyes. You are self-declared fair-weather fan, so maybe you should go and start rooting for the Chargers...
