  • With the 4th pick in the 2011 NFL draft the Denver Broncos select....

    I know it's early, but let's face it....we're done.

My guess and hope is Adrian Clayborn DE out of Iowa. At 6-3 290, he would translate to the 3-4 well and would give the Broncos that power rusher they need to collapse pockets and blow up runs before they start. He has the potential to be one of those must double team kind of DEs allowing the LBs to be free of second level blocking. Somewhat like what Shaun Ellis provides the jets LBs.

    Who do you predict/hope for?

I can only hope for a pick like that. We will probably take another WR or RB like we have the past two years in the first round and I will Drink and Puke.

        Nt

Broncos need a ligitimate 2 gap NT that can consistently force the double team and clog up the middle.

                I doubt we'll be picking 4th.

We won't pick 4th, but if we did, probably somewhere on defense, preferably a DL prospect.

IF McD is still the HC, then I say we'd trade back......probably 2X....

                          A little of both.

I don't believe we will have the 4th pick, but if we did, I know we wouldn't pick Adrian Clayborn.

He's simply not that impressive, and there are guys who are better fits, and simply showing more ability this year.

If I had the choice, I'd trade down, acquire 2 to 3 extra picks, and simply draft BPA on Need. Simple and effective. We need a talent overhaul in many positions, so it should start by stockpiling picks and then proceeding to dump them into positions of need (DE x2, NT, OG, S, OLB).

I agree. If they did happen to take a #4 pick though I would take Patrick Peterson, CB out of LSU. He is the only player worth a pick that high at a position of need. Nick Fairley is a close second.
