I am not impressed with how Broncos defensive line is applying pressure. Vickerson is terrible, Mcbean makes too many mental errors that lead to untimely penalties, Bannan has only 1 or 2 sacks, and Jamal Williams can't shed a block to save his life. If they won't get it done put someone in there that might light a spark. Chris Baker could be the answer, but we will never know unless they give him a shot. Let's face it...it doesn't look good for the Broncos making the play-offs, and I'm ready to see some of the youth perform. Let us see Baker, and Tebow play a more significant role. If anything it will give them some much needed experience, and it will also help in the evaluation process, looking forward to 2011.

Oh my goodness... Vickerson doesn't even lead Broncod DE's in tackles, Thomas does. All I'm saying is that if Vickerson was as good as you say he is why haven't I heard anyone else talk about him? It's obvious I haven't paid close attention to the Defensive line because I didn't know they traded Baker away, but I do know that just being a "run stopper" doesn't make him pro-bowl material, or even staring material for that matter. He is mediocre on a terrible line, at best. Besides in a 3-4 defense a lineman is supposed to take on blockers allowing linebackers to make tackles. Their job is penetrate and put pressure on the QB, especially in 3rd down, and passing situations. Vickerson has only 1 sack my friend. How many does Freeney have? This is a passing league, thanks.

I thought in a 3-4 the linemen stop the rusher and tie up OL on passing downs so that one of the blitzing linebacker can make the sack> That is why Doom had 17.5 sacks last season.

Dwight Freeney is a 4-3 DE in the Tampa 2 system.
