I happen to think this is the best pick. I love Fairley, but it is easier to find dominate D-Lineman, especially in a draft that is loaded with them.. we can still find 2 really good lineman with our 2 second rounders, or trade both our second rounders to move back into the 1st round if need be. But Patrick Peterson is by far the best defensive player in this draft. Fairley, easily the best D-Line man.. But Peterson IMO hold the best defensive player title in my mind. Im a S. Car fan. so I watch SEC football even when my team isnt playing. I swear to you. Peterson will be better than Revis. He is bigger, faster, stronger, played better comp. in college. Instinctive... and most importantly for a corner, he has ball skills comparable to Champ Bailey coming out of college. Im sorry if we pick out of the top 5 then Fairley is our man, because Peterson will not be there. ( Detroit) but its likely we wont win anymore games this season, we will hold on to the #2 spot, and you have to take the best player Available because we have needs everywhere. and Peterson is the second best player coming out of this draft ( 1st best is Luck doesnt come out)

Aloha Captain, Yeah i really like the Walterfootball's draft way more than the others. I went to check on the other draft sites, And some of them seem so out of place and crazy. I still support the Broncos and want to see them win out, As i could care less what spot we have. But as of now i am really

leaning towards Peterson instead of Fairley, Because i can see us picking up Phil Taylor in the 2nd. This guy is really good. I agree that Fairley is good too, But i can see alot more talented D-linemen than CB's in this draft, And Peterson reminds me of Charles Woodson type, But Peterson has a bigger

built. I really hope that we can also get Casey Matthews, Man this guy definitely can play and has the same motor that his brother has. What do you think of Demarco Murray?. I would love to have him and Moreno in our backfield. I believe Murray ran a low 40 of 4.3 and he reminds me of AP. I guess we

will have to wait to see who will be our coach(s). I just hope that we draft heavily on defense though. Have a good one & GOD bless.

I could care less about Walter to be honest, but I've seen other mock drafts that have us taking Peterson. To be honest, I'd take Amukamara over Fairley..

I'd rather draft Patrick/Prince with our 1st pick, and get D-line in the other rounds.

I like Demarco Murray, but I dont think we need a running back, we will be getting a still very young, hungry, and talented Lendale White back from injury next season to solve our short yardage problems. the only pick on offense that needs to be addressed in the draft is at TE, where Daniel Graham isnt getting it done in the running nor passing game this season. D.J. Williams I like for us to get in the 3rd round. I would like Petereson with our 1st pick, our two 2nds go DE/DT or Best ILB/MLB ( best avail i guess) or 3rd TE. we dont have a 4th which we traded for that bust of a running back we got from New England ( not saying any names). we dont have a 5th round either. we wont pick again until the 6th round and 7th rounds.. imo we should trade both to try and move back into the 5th round. In which I would trade Orton to get a 4th round... so there are ways we can get back into the 4th and 5th rounds in which i think you can still find really goo players for depth in those rounds.. but its hardly ever that a 6th or 7th rounder even make the football team. they are that low for a reason..

          1.Peterson/Amukamara
          2.DE/DT
          2.Safety
          3.DE/DT

I think safety is a far more important need than linebacker or TE at this point. We have to get a good safety to replace Dawkins.

Well yeah, but depends on who is going to be free agents willing to play for a rebuilding defense. If we can get a good decently young ) 25-29 safety i prefer we go free agent vs. the Draft. there arent any top notch safeties coming out this year. I like Barron from Alabama. thats about it. I think he is a second rounder, but besides him.. I wouldnt take a safety in this draft before the 3rd round. I think we can find a better one in FA vs this draft. Im willing to wait another year to draft a safety. Much more talent at other places in this draft that a pick can be used on besides a bunch of avg. to bust safeties... I honestly dont believe we can go another year without a threat at TE. It shows in the redzone. It shows in the middle of drives that we cant work the middle of the field because of no threat at TE. I really like D.J. Williams in the 3rd. I really suggest a trade of Orton so we can get a 4th to late 3rd for him.. but same scenario.. if we can get a decently young TE in FA. then we wont have to go that route. I would love to go FA at TE and safety. but if we dont 1 or the other, and maybe both have to be addressed in the draft after the D-Line and Corner picks of course.

If we go another year without picking up a d-lineman in the 1st round I may kill someone. A corner does absolutely nothing to help our current defensive woes. You know why? Because corners are never the foundation of a great or even good defense. They are the finishing touch that makes a good defense great. A great corner on a terrible defense changes nothing. I would think Bronco fans would understand that by now having watched Bailey dominate in personal battles year after year while our defense puts up historically bad numbers overall.

Maybe get Peterson with #2 and trade back into the 1st and get Jordan or Watt.

Denver's 2nd rounder is awful close to the

first round and ought to be able to pickup a pretty good DL there. If we can keep Champ maybe move Peterson to safety until Champ is ready to switch to safety.:thumb:

Our biggest need is DL. But from most discussions I've picked up, Peterson is a player you can't pass up. Also, it seems like the DL position is pretty deep. It's possible that we take Peterson and then 2 DL in the second. If we happen to trade back, it's possible that we can get a 1st and 3 2nd round picks. Then if we trade Orton for a 3rds then we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. Do you think the draft is deep enough to be successful with more picks or do you think we need a top 5 pick more than anything?

                      1. Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU
                      2a. Jared Crick, DE/DT, Nebraska

                      3. Steven Friday, DE/OLB, Virginia Tech

I'm not sure how sold I am on Friday. He's only started 13 total games. Also, players projectedly taken after him are..

I don't see what's so bad about getting Peterson and then getting DL in the other rounds. We have two 2nd round picks, an early one at that. An early 2nd rounder is basically a late 1st, so we could pick up Cameron Jordon, Crick, or someone else. Or we could use those 2nds to trade up into the 1st and draft someone like Watt.

Because we need DL way more than a CB. We have a shot at a top tier d-lineman for the first time in who knows how long, and you want us to draft another CB? Seriously have we not seen how pointless it is to have an elite corner when your front is terrible?

We need a 3-4 DE that can stop the run and put pressure on the QB. We are very unlikely to find one that can do both well in the 2nd round.

Like I said, we have TWO 2nd round picks, TWO. Some people think Watt is as good of a D-linemen you can find in this draft class, so I ask again. What's wrong with drafting Peterson, and using our other picks to trade up into the 1st to get Watt?? Also I disagree completely about not being able to find a capable pass rusher and run stopper in the 2nd. There are a ton of great players we could draft with our 2nd's.

We really shouldn't be able to go wrong if we do end up with the 2 slot. If we take peterson, we better see 2 dlinemen in the next 3 picks.
