Elway is not the only QB to refuse to play for a certain team. Eli manning refused to play for San Diego. San Diego still drafted him and traded him to the Giants. Carolina will not pass on him in any situation. They would however have to do something with Clawson, who seems to be a bust.

With the current CBA and a lockout looming I don't see any of the top junior picks declaring. Unless an agreement is reached before they have to decide, what would be there motivation to declare? Lose a year of school and still not be able to play football. Gee let's see; Stay in school and let the grants and scholarships support you or leave school and have to find a job. It's a no brainier!

We still have the #2 pick becasue the Bungles won today, so I am afaid we will still be hearing about this horse crap for awhile. At least it will end (I hope) in a few weeks when Luck doesn't declare...

The pro-Luck crowd is still going strong based off what I've seen in other threads. I think today illustrates perfectly how completely looney these people are. That being the case they aren't going anywhere any time soon.
