See? I can do it too. Regardless, Fua is more physically fit than Powe or Taylor. Theoretically, that means he is more aware of his health and is a workout warrior. Two skills that don't always mean NFL-ready, but they help.
Not to mention that his stats are right up there with Powe and also plays NT already.

Taylor isn't all that fat for being 340 or so..He is #98. Tracy Robertson, #13, is 6-4, 280
This is Powe

Fua is (by standard) a few inches too short for 3-4 DE. He'd be a decent fit at 4-3 DT, but he also has a massive frame that i'm not sure he's tapped. He could probably put on a few pounds.
Also, his stock at the current moment is mid 3rd, but will probably rise at combine, considering he's built like a tank and the other 3 prospects are all blobs.
1. I hate to hope on the future such as...he can put more weight on his frame...a la Jarvis moss.
2. Does Taylor really look like a blob to you???sigpic

IMO, Taylor is bigger, stronger from I've read, a better tackler, and would require double teams more often than Powe. Taylor has also been fairly consistent with this year being a breakout season whereas Powe only had one real decent year which was last year and even that wasn't that great. What about Powe makes you think he is better than Taylor other than the hype coming into the season?Last edited by broncos SB2010; 01-05-2011, 05:09 PM.sigpic

The fact that I give no **** for stats, they don't translate, there fun to look at but that's it. A WR last year caught 160 balls in one season and went undrafted. If you watch the players, you will see the true story. If Taylor was 300 or 310 pounds nobody would no his name.Denver Broncos GM

i will still like taylor, he has produced and he has looked like a different player from last year, easily the most boom product at NT. he has been more consistant and jerrell powe should be able to look fine even at UT, if he is a ligit NT, who needs to be to handle two+ blockerssigpic

Nose tackle- requires you to take up multiple blockers and clog holes, Vince Wilfork
The players at the end are the ideal players at that position. Coincidence that Nick Fairley has been compared to big Al, and Powe to Vince?Denver Broncos GM

here is a blurb about Wilfork's college career...tell me Powe is close to this.
Wilfork attended the University of Miami where he participated in both football and track and field; he holds the Miami indoor school record in the shot put. In his freshman season, Wilfork did not start but played in every game as a defensive tackle, finishing tenth in the team on tackles with 41 while also recording a sack and forcing three fumbles. Wilfork did not start a game in his 2002 sophomore season either, but still recorded 43 tackles and seven sacks. Before the 2003 season, Wilfork was rated the second best defensive tackle in the country by The Sporting News and went on to start all 13 games for Miami. He finished the year with a career high 64 tackles and led the team with 20 quarterback hurries. He was named to the All-Big East Conference first-team following the season, which would prove to be his last in Miami as he decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2004 NFL Draft.Last edited by broncos SB2010; 01-05-2011, 07:16 PM.sigpic

I really would love to see a explosive NT taken in the second round but I dont think that is our most serious problem I think that we need a explosive DE who can dominate on his side of the line. if jamal williams had some help the d-line would be better, bannan didnt play to bad I did notice he did get better later in the season but if we could lock done a serious DE tat would really improve our defensive front seven. I have heard alought about fairley but I dont know his statsA healthy Kenneth Dixon is a top 5 NFL RB.
