Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Robert Quinn, despite not playing in a year, was/is an elite talent. You can't ignore that.
Marcell Dareus is much of the same. Huge talent but he comes from a team that has always used rotational d-lineman. This year he saw his most action of his career. I'm curious how he holds up in the NFL.
Bowers is going to draw comparisons to Mario Williams. It's only a matter of time. That pick turned out to be golden for the Texans, might it end up the same with the Panthers?
Fairley is the guy who came out of nowhere. Started off the season really as just a guy with upside. But, he showed what he could do and everyone knows about him now.
Personally, my list would be as follows:
1. Patrick Peterson
2. Nick Fairley
3. AJ Green
4. DaQuan Bowers
5. Prince Amukamara
I just feel as though those guys have the best potential of contributing to immediately either due to their elite athleticism (Peterson/Bowers), skill (Amukamara), or a nice combination of the two (Green/Fairley). Just how I see it.
Green and Fairley are no brainers. Quinn is the best pass rusher in the draft and the best 4-3 pass rusher in the draft, so of course he'll be a top 5 pick. People are gushing over Bowers, and for some reason he'll probably be the number one pick, so there's that. I'd say Peterson should be there over Dareus, no doubt, and he'll probably be there after his bowl.
There's no doubt peterson will declare. He's gonna run between 4.30 and 4.35 he is a top 5 talent no question mcshay is a fool. I think von is the best pass rusher in the draft not bowers IMO can't wait to see von and peterson tomorrow I want PP or trade down to 10 and get von from what I've seen he is flat out amazing a little small n not the best against the run but he gets after the qb like no one else I wish there was a way to get pp and von

Why can't Dareus be considered a top 5 prospect? If you put Fairley in the 3-4, doing the dirty work, I doubt his stats will look that flashy. From what I've seen, Dareus had dominat games in 2009, and was still a big part of Alabama's defense in 2010. He is what many 3-4 defenses want. A strong 3-4 DE prospect with plenty of experience in the scheme.
Consider how Tyson Jackson, a top 3 pick in 2009, looked lost in the 3-4. I don't think the same would happen to Dareus, because he already knows how the defense works. He just needs to learn the tricks that make a pro lineman. If you put Dareus in the 4-3 and ask him to go after the quarterback, I believe his stats would look much better.
Many draftniks talk about pro-ready quarterbacks, and Dareus would be something like a pro-ready 3-4 lineman.

Cuz folks not from the South only see Dareus in Bowl Games and rest from youtube/ESPN highlights and they try to compare him to players that dont do the same thing he does.
