Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

New coaches sometimes spend so much time trying to fix a problem, that they do not protect what works.
It is a good sign that Fox and Elway are working with Champ. Avoid turning a strength into a weakness.
Carolina not protecting DeAngelo will be their loss and maybe Denver's gain. I do like the running backs we have, and feel the scheme was what was ineffective. :paper:
Everyone keeps talking about Williams being injury prone but so is buckhalter and Williams is a thousand times better then buck. I would swap those two any day and pay Williams more money
Just because one injury prone guy is better than some other injury prone guy on your roster doesn't mean we should automatically get him. That doesn't make much sense. The bottom line is that he's still injury prone, and if he gets hurt, wouldn't help us out much. That's like saying lets dump McBath for Bob Sanders just because Sanders is way better when he's actually on the field.

No what I'm saying is he's a upgrade at the running back spot and provides great depth behind Moreno and since bucks way old and lance ball isn't that good and who knows about our two power backs we need someone like him

Keeping Williams and losing Kalil would destroy "what works". If you commend the Broncos for keeping champ I don't see how you are getting down on the panthers for keeping Kalil. Keeping a strength from becoming a weakness.
The panthers have 2 good running backs behind Williams. Williams is better than both of them in every way but unfortunately he is far more expendable than Kalil.
The only reason Williams has been able to be a top 5 back is how dominant the O-line was and splitting carries with Stewart. His 08 season was under very, very ideal conditions and it showed.
Also Williams is very humble and he has not expressed a desire to leave or for big money. But he may not be the panthers top target.
This is a great sign. He's a FA and we have his old coach.
To me, I think a backfield of Moreno and Williams (surely they BOTH can't get injured.....) might help support Tebow for starter. It would imply that we would run the ball more and have one safe route already with the running game. To throw Orton back there would be too much vanilla for anyone.
At this rate, you know best Johnny.
You brought us back Champ so I'm pretty content for the day but this would be righteous no doubt.

Nah it makes sense imo, good rbs are dime a dozen, top centers are a little harder to come by, especially when your team relies on the run game and has two good rbs after williams at any rate
Manning Fatigue (noun): The act of being sick as hell of watching a HOF qb take half of forever to decide what to do and just wishing he'd make up his mind.
