  • now that we signed champ;new mock

I love that we signed champ and with things looking up for cox I do not think we need a corner however now I really want PP.
    -
I do not want to go after any FAs other than our own vickerson and harris
    -
I believe the new cba will b reached BEFORE the draft so I'd trade orton for a 3rd and 5th
    -
    Draft
    -
1.patrick peterson (FS) he could b an instant starter at FS until champ moves to FS and I believe he will b better by far than any FS in this draft
    -
2a.Martez wilson he plays ILB but I think he could be our starting SLB next year
    -
2b.Stephen Paea DT. He is a beast shouldve been a late 1st rounder but I believe he will fall due to his injury and IMO he's the BPA and adresses a need
    -
3a.Quan sturdivant MLB I don't believe in haggan and I think quan could start at MLB on day one, he's very athletic a stronger hitter than martez and more of a leader
    -
3b.Kendrick Ellis DT he is a huge penetrating DT and I think hed b a great NT in a 4-3 to compete with vickerson.
    -
5.Darel Scott RB he has the size to b an everydown back but has the speed to b a 3rd down change of pace back. He's kind of a reach here but I really like him
    -
6.Schuylar Oordt TE 6'7 TE with good hands and he can run a 4.5 not really huge numbers I think he had just 66 catches in 4 seasons but he had 1230 yards and 12 TDs. He can add a little bulk to become a better blocker but he's definately more of a pass catchin TE
    -
    7.Karl klug/craig marshall DEs

If klugs not available marshall they are both very athletic DEs to me they are both every bit as good as pernell mcphee who is a 3rd rounder so either of them will b steals in the 7th. I'd draft them for depth but I think either of them could actually compete with ayers for the starting spot.

This is my final mock and I love it, what do u think?

Please tell me the logic of having PP playing FS while Champ is a CB, not the other way around. Second, Why are people wanting PP when our Trenches are absolute garbage.

We could be in contention next year if we just had a decent Defense and people really want to draft a CB @ #2 overall. WHAT THE HECK????

You still have PP at #2? I love the guy but I hope the Champ deal sways Denver from drafting secondary with the first pick. That being said, would I be mad, not at all. Is it April yet?

Looks good to me. I'd take Jurrell Casey over Ellis, but either looks good on tape.

Cuz peterson would b a better FS than corner in the NFL especially on day one and Champ still has 2 great years at corner in him IMO. As far as improving our D. Paea and ellis could both start and b great klug adds depth at DE, PP fixes our huge need at FS with dawkins being washed up and wed have a great LB corps with DJ at will, quan at mike, and martez at sam where is there a single hole on that D? And my guy bruton at SS btw

I'll pass on drafting Peterson to play FS, a good one can be had in the 2nd (Quinton Carter, Rahim Moore). We need D-line like nobody's business.

He's shrugged away from contact. He has never played FS in his life, at a position that requires a great deal of instinct.
              Smart.

We need to go D-line at 2. Either Fairley, Dareus, or Bowers. If not one of them then we trade down.

The main reason to draft Peterson is that you don't trust Fairley and Bowers' ability to become good NFL players. IMO, they are both busts. That's why Pat Pete is the pick. He's the sure pick.

He has great instincts he's a ball hawk who can return and in the big picture hell b a corner in 2 years when champ moves to FS I'm thinkin big picture

Orton isn't going anywhere. I think the Broncos will draft a front 7 player in the draft (I am hoping that if Fairley is gone, Robert Quinn is the selection). I don't think Denver will select a ILB and MLB almost back to back.:thumb:

If you were really thinking big picture you would realize that our secondary will look like garbage until we develop a decent front seven.

I like paea as much as any Dlinemen other than fairley who I doubt will b there. I don't think vickerson is a liability but I got ellis as insurance who is a beast in his own right I think a line with doom, paea, vikerson/ellis, and ayers/klug is beastly and I don't think there's a better LB core to b had if we could take any 2 we wanted

WEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLL, besides starting 4 rookies in the front seven, 1 more in the secondary, having one DE (doom) who cant stop the run, having a starting safety that cant do anything at all on D, and having an unknown situation at the number 2 cb spot with cox's legal and goodmans injury troubles, id say this defense still would be subpar.
