If he could stay healthy, Bowers would be an ideal selection (or Quinn) but those two knee surgeries scare me. Spending a #2 selection for someone to sit on the bench next to Thomas worries me! I rather have Robert Quinn!:thumb:

I'm going to help you out, PP will not be a "stud" on this Denver team. He will be the Dealtha O'Neal of our defense.

A front seven will make you secondary look better, so you draft the biggest, mean, and ugly. If Fairley is there, then great. If not Dareus and even Robert Quinn are excellent prospects.
That right there is why I also say PP in the 2 spot if Fairly is gone.
"Prospects" don't get picked at the #2 overall spot ... "True Talent" is picked at the #2 overall spot. save picking "prospects" until later IMO!

Patrick Peterson will be a great CB in the NFL, no doubt in my mind!

... 2005 Draft, Alex Smith was the first player selected overall.

Does that mean he was a "true talent"?

Are you saying that if the Denver Broncos select Patrick Peterson at #2 this year, that will make him a "true talent" and not a "prospect"?

You lost me. Aren't all rookies, regardless of where they are drafted, prospective NFL players, i.e., "prospects"?

I agree all rookies and players are prospects we never know for sure who is going to pan out or not. That's why they play the games to see who is or not a true talent.

why couldnt miller add 10 lbs he has the frame and could be a very very good LB and very versatile

i still dont like DJ, put him at SLB i dont care if he doesnt like it, hes not good enough to demand a position if someone possibly better suited comes in.

our LB crew is just as weak as our DL

I also love picking Fairley with our number 2. We will never go ANYWHERE in this league without a mean and nasty DT. We can sign Aso off free agency (which I want to do) and still not have a top defense. It's the D-line that makes the rest of the defense sparkle. If you can put pressure on the QB, then that makes everyone else look good. Draft a good DT with your number two and watch Champ light up the picks next season.
