If Tim Tebow was in this draft, he would've been no.1 overall. We're not going to take a QB in this class, to replace a guy who would've been the best.

Gabbert and Newton having nothing on Tebow. Locker maybe, but he's supposedly a 2nd round prospect so we're sure as hell not taking him that high.

Lets break this down for the simple minded. Xanders made it clear that he wants 3-4 picks to be immediate starters. Right now, we don't have enough picks to realistically achieve that. Here's the thing, there's alot of teams who need a QB, however, the top prospects likely wont make it to their spot in the draft. This is where things get good for us. We're sitting at #2. Technically we could even move down 5 spots, still get the guy we want, and get an extra high round pick. It's a win win situation. However, we need to be able to convince the teams in need that their guy wont make it past the #2 pick. Luckily, we're primed to make this head-fake, because there's already rumblings that our new F.O. isn't crazy about Tebow, so lets look at ALL of the quarterback prospects we can to make it LOOK more, and more like we're interested in a quarterback, so really, we can create a bidding war for our number 2 pick, possibly get another 2nd rounder, and still get the guy we want in the first. Its smart football, and in order to execute the new draft plan the new F.O. wants, we need more picks. The fake seems to be working on the fans, hopefully its working on the QB needy ams too.

They havent said anything to suggest that. and sure, theoretically, lets say we want to take a quarterback, this years class of quarterbacks is so bad that it would be common sense to at leave give our former 1st round draft pick a shot, or start our near pro-bowl season qb from last season, and if those dont pan out, then take a guy in the 2012 draft which will have much better prospects at the quarterback position.

Like two teams gave a first round grade to Tim Tebow and one of them just happened to be the Broncos and a front office that has been fired because of how bad they were.

Let's get one thing clear.

Tim Tebow has a lot of talents. He's a great leader. He's smart, he has his head on straight. But he's not an elite quarterback. Can he develop into one? Sure. But it takes time.

The Broncos are bringing in quarterbacks because they're interested in quarterbacks. Period. You don't bring in THAT MANY of a position that you're not interested in.

Are the Broncos taking a QB second overall? Not necessarily. But it's absolutely a possibility. It's as strong, if not stronger, of a possibility than any other position.

Even if they don't go QB at No. 2, though, they will likely be looking to take a QB with their second round pick or by packaging that pick with later-round picks to move up into the end of the first, where they will then select a QB.

If you think that the new decision-makers for the Broncos are sold on Tim Tebow, you are out of your damn mind.

We all know they arent sold, but at this point to spend another high round pick on a quarterback even from i financial standpoint is sheer stupidity.

Elway has NEVER said anything to make you think he's happy with Tebow. Armchair GM's say this QB class is bad, last year everyone said the same thing " next years will be better". People say that almost every year. Last year we had Bradford with his serious shoulder concerns, Jimmy clausen, Tim Tebow. And this class is bad? Bradford had a very solid rookie year, the other 2 will likely have replacements by the end of April. This years top 3 is a lot better then last years. Not to
mention, you have guys like Mallett who is by far the best passer. That might now go until day 2.

This is a business, and new regimes don't want to risk THEIR JOBS by sticking with what got the old regime fired. Our defense was awful, we switch the scheme. Out drafts have been awful, absolutely terrible. You change as much as possible. I can't make this any simpler.

If John Elway or John Fox, or Brian Xanders think Cam Newton is going to make it as an NFL QB, they should step aside for people who know what they're doing.

Lets not forget that John Fox was very high on Tebow during the draft prospect. Just because the broncos arent singing praises for tebow doesnt mean theyre not confident in him. He started 3 games, he's essentially still a rookie and it would be extremely unwise to even verbally commit to him at this point. When you're 4-12 with the 2nd overall piick you need to look at every position unless you have a franchise quarterback.

Gabbert and Newton are highly regarded QBs in an extremely weak draft class dude.

Gabbert is inaccurate and struggles greatly produced in arguably the easiest offense in football.

Chase Daniels was lethal in the offense and look where he is. Gabbert has nothing on Daniels as a passer, yet because of his measurable is a first round prospect in the media.

Newton much like Tebow made his crust of being a dual threat, Newton the better runner and Tebow the better passer. Tebow however comes without character concerns and had done it over 3/4 years, Newton, only 1 and he's coming out. Most teams if they had the choice of the two would take Tebow imo. Tebow presents a very similar package with excellent intagibles and leadership.

Also, I don't understand how you have Clausen going before Tebow. If 2 teams had a first round projection for Tebow, it means none had a first round projection for Clausen. There was 24 picks between where they went, surely Clausen would've gone earlier then.
