One of the reaqsons i didnt like cutler originally was because of production and i can see gabbert being like cutler in the NFL. A guy who turns the ball over the lot but has flashes where he is good.

Both have turned out pretty good. Granted Ryan threw for something like 4200 yards, but nonetheless.
Yeah, but Rodgers had questions at least. And honestly I thought Ryan was good (and clutch was his rep in college), but everybody I know questions his accuracy. We were surprised they rated him so high. It wasn't just completion percentage, he was known to throw inaccurately in the sense of being off-target.

The only real alarming thing about Gabbert is his TD/INT ratio, and it isn't good. No other way to spin it.

Don't get me wrong im a big production over projection guy. I wouldn't draft him, but on the other side of the coin he has everything you want in a QB.

I'm sorry. But you saying that Tebow would be at the head of this QB class was/is just asinine. Absolutely ridiculous homerism.

I honestly beleive that if Mallet was accused of drugs and having bade character then he would be projected top QB of the class. He can make every single throw and will be a great NFL QB. I agree that tebow wouldnt be in the top 5 of QBS if this year and last years draft were combined

I'm not bias, as I've said, I hope Tebow does well. I don't dislike him, at all. Like I've said..... I said Teboe would go to Denver in January of last year. Way before ANYONE else, way before. Im the same. I hope tebow is the future and i beleive he is and will be however he does have some major flaws in his game. You also mocked him there in november the year before.

The Watt thing is an entirely different arguement. No I do not like him. There's no doubt, I don't like him as a player. And I think he's gonna bust. But i'm not hijacking this thread into JJ Watt mania. Another time.
What makes you think watt will bust. He will porobaly go 10-20, has scheme versatility and his body is built to be an NFL player already.

And he threw for a low completion percentage as well -- something like 43% on third down.

NFL quarterbacks are supposed to pwn in college. The hard part is choosing from among the dominant ones. But Gabbert wasn't dominant in any sense of the word. He's kind of a mystery the way he sprang out into the front of the race.

Lots of scouts seem to go on looks. A choice that is easily defendable to the eye.

My main point is this -- I think Cam is pretty daggum good. I think I'd take him over any of the others if I was looking for a QB.

Tall, strong, quick, good arm. Did it against good competition.

The major questions about reading defenses and making quick decisions are there for virtually every new prospect. Because you can't really tell about anybody until they get to NFL speed.

His outstanding accuracy produced a season of 16 touchdowns and 9 intercepts in the most quarterback friendly system in the whole of college football.

    AMAZING ACCURACY!

Yeah, my creaky memory. I just keep not registering those early picks, because that was not going to happen. Mayock had Tebow going as the second QB, but everybody had him projected to go late first, early second. So I tend to focus on the picks around him. (But Cleveland comes back in my head because I was sure they were going to pick Colt in early 2nd, and then they didn't.)
