I don't think Jimmy Clausen is better then Tebow, or any of the guys I listed after him. However I put that list together as if the 2010 draft hadn't happened, and last year Clausen was the #2 consensus QB.

Newton is 50x the passer Tebow is, and if it wasn't for his character issues. He'd be the clear #1 QB this year. Newton has Tebow beat on EVERYTHING related to passing. Mechanics, motion, release, arm strength, accuracy.... Everything. That's not even debateable man.
People raved about the arms of Russell, Leaf, Smith, Clausen and so many others coming into the draft. Look where they ended up.

mock last year that I posted in January. Where I HAD THE BRONCOS TAKING TEBOW. Go look at those comments. Yeh you did call that but it was it november. CP.

If they merged the classes bias aside. This is how it would go

    Bradford
    Gabbert
    Newton
    Clausen
    Locker

I beleive the class would go if it was based purely on talnet alone. Mallet would be there if he wasnt a drug using partying bum. Appaarently.:

    Bradford
    Gabbert
    Newton
    Mallet

Then you can have your pick of 6th among Ponder, Kaps, Mallett, Tebow and whoever else.

NO ONE HAD A FIRST ROUND GRADE ON TEBOW

Just because he's now on the Broncos' roster doesn't mean he's better now.

I beleive a few people actually did have a first round grade down. Not a high first but a 20-65 guy. Apparently if the broncos didnt trade up for him there were a few other teams that would of according to mark schlereth.

Gabbert is inaccurate and struggles greatly produced in arguably the easiest offense in football.

Chase Daniels was lethal in the offense and look where he is. Gabbert has nothing on Daniels as a passer, yet because of his measurable is a first round prospect in the media.

Newton much like Tebow made his crust of being a dual threat, Newton the better runner and Tebow the better passer. Tebow however comes without character concerns and had done it over 3/4 years, Newton, only 1 and he's coming out. Most teams if they had the choice of the two would take Tebow imo. Tebow presents a very similar package with excellent intagibles and leadership.

Also, I don't understand how you have Clausen going before Tebow. If 2 teams had a first round projection for Tebow, it means none had a first round projection for Clausen. There was 24 picks between where they went, surely Clausen would've gone earlier then.

When you're 4-12 with the 2nd overall piick you need to look at every position unless you have a franchise quarterback.
Uh what? John Fox was high on Tebow coming out? Link? Because if he's said anything to that degree since he's been the Broncos' coach, it holds no validity. I don't think we're going to take a QB at #2. but we will have one by round 3, bank on it.

If John Elway or John Fox, or Brian Xanders think Cam Newton is going to make it as an NFL QB, they should step aside for people who know what they're doing.

This is a business, and new regimes don't want to risk THEIR JOBS by sticking with what got the old regime fired. Our defense was awful, we switch the scheme. Out drafts have been awful, absolutely terrible. You change as much as possible. I can't make this any simpler.

    New regimes=New QB's

Just because we have Josh's boytoy doesn't mean he gets a pass. He was inherited, and is the definition of
defintion of " Project QB". The guy that wanted this "Project QB" is now in St. Louis. Because of incompetence.

Like two teams gave a first round grade to Tim Tebow and one of them just happened to be the Broncos and a front office that has been fired because of how bad they were.

    Let's get one thing clear.

Tim Tebow has a lot of talents. He's a great leader. He's smart, he has his head on straight. But he's not an elite quarterback. Can he develop into one? Sure. But it takes time.

The Broncos are bringing in quarterbacks because they're interested in quarterbacks. Period. You don't bring in THAT MANY of a position that you're not interested in.

Are the Broncos taking a QB second overall? Not necessarily. But it's absolutely a possibility. It's as strong, if not stronger, of a possibility than any other position.

Even if they don't go QB at No. 2, though, they will likely be looking to take a QB with their second round pick or by packaging that pick with later-round picks to move up into the end of the first, where they will then select a QB.

If you think that the new decision-makers for the Broncos are sold on Tim Tebow, you are out of your damn mind.
We all know they arent sold, but at this point to spend another high round pick on a quarterback even from i financial standpoint is sheer stupidity.

Let me try to break down how you guys are being right now.

Your favorite market is fruit shopping.... Okay?

The market has already has some fruit, namely mangos. That's were left behind by the previous ownership. And you see the current ownership, doesn't really want the former ownership's bad products.

So your market ( with it's limited time) schedules visits with all the top fruit farmers.

    It schedules visits with

    1 apple farmer

    2 pineapple farmers

    And 6 mango farmers

most are upset by their decision.

Because as I stated, they already have mangos. And accepting the truth, can be hard.

So instead of being reasonable, they instead lie to themselves with blatently false statements.

Such as " I heard that we're gonna trade the right to choose the 2nd best farm for $50,000,000".

    .........Even though it never happens.

This is honestly what this is now.

    100% denial.

The comment about Tebow being the best in this class had he come out I'm not even going to justify that with a response.

This is what is was like last year.... When we brought in Tebow.

"OMGG SMOKESCREEN, NO CHANCE, WE NEED DEFENSE"

    it's the exact same thing.

It's easier to conceptualize by making it mangos.
