        I don't think they'll pick him.

I think there's some sort of quarterback sweepstakes going on, with Carolina, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Arizona all in the hunt for a qb, and the Broncos are trying to send a message that those teams better not assume their guy will make it (whether it's Gabbert or Newton).

That doesn't mean the Broncos are in love with Tebow. I just think Fox is going to recommend a front 7 player.

            Yep. This is a smokescreen.

            So is Gabbert.

            So is Locker.

            So is Kaps.

            So is Mallett.

            So is Ponder.

We're looking at QB's more then any other position in the draft. And the purpose is only to fool other teams.
            This makes sense. Perfect sense.

I totally get what you're saying, but here's the way I look at it.

The Bills, Bengals, Cardinals, Vikings, and Dolphins are just a few teams that are looking at QBs right now. I think by us setting up workouts with these QBs, it shows other teams that we're showing "interest", and we're going to force somebody to jump up and give us more picks. Even if a team like the Vikings wants a guy like Ponder or Mallett in the 2nd, they could see that we've scheduled meetings, so they think we're interested in these potential 2nd round guys, so they're forced to jump up if they want their guy. Just my opinion on the whole situation

And that's legit. Problem is there's more then a few teams that pick ahead of us in the 2nd, so don't you think (if these qb's fell to the 2nd of course) they would call the teams ahead of us to try and trade up? And that doesn't help us at all. I see your point. And it makes sense to a certain extent, I just don't believe it personally. I think we'll end up trading back into the bottom of the first to pick one of those QB's. We'll see.

That's a good point, I forgot that teams like the Bills and Bengals have great picks in the 2nd as well providing they don't trade those picks. I agree we'll just have to wait and see, at least you can say the draft is never predictable

I like it we ave a HOF QB GM that is looking at qbs denver would be not very smart if they didnt look at them. Denver may not be drafting his high again so wy not check to see if there is a Franchise signal calle.

I would be upset if they took a QB however if the team feels thatit gives us the best chance to win ill support it. I have always supported the team n its decisions even though they have be wrong at times ill still root for whomever they take.

I am not a cam newton fan having said all that. And i would consider giving unwavering support if they do take him

                      Agree 100%.

'Orton is our starter' as we don't want to hurt his trade value - I suspect he gets traded, hopefully for something as savory as a 3d and a 5th/6th.

By convincing everyone we are in the QB market I am sure we have a lotta teams sweating our picking one and therefore looking to trade up.

I would not be surprised if we trade away the #2 and get a sweet deal for a lower 1st plus one or two more picks.

Personally I see this a draft stratego being played very well.

Absolute denial. We've looked at the QB position more then any other in this draft. 6 QB's..... Projected to go in 3 different rounds. If you honestly still somehow believe we're not actively looking for a QB. I give up. I guess if I wanted to believe something hard enough I'd just lie to myself until I believe it. I look at it like this.

                        I have an apple.

                        It looks like an apple.

                        It tastes like an apple.

                        It feels like an apple.

But no, I see it a banana.

Even though all signs point to it as an apple.

Even though I'm ignoring all signs of reason, it's a banana.

There is no doubt that we are taking a QB....If we arent then we are as bad a team as every football mind thinks that we are. If you arent interested in QB, YOU DONT SCHEDULE VISITS WITH QB'S.....It is that simple. We get 12 private sessions....You dont waste those.... At this point I wont be shocked in the least if we dont take a QB in our first 2 picks.
Thanx Blondie79 for the sweet Sig....Love it and I will rock it with pridesigpic

I actually think you can schedule more then 12 visits this year. Bur really nonetheless, we've shown serious interest in 6.......6 QB's. We've shown far more interest in QB's then any other position, and it's not even close. The writing is on the wall.
