BTW......Julius Peppers was clearly one of the best D players in all of football last year, and for my money, he was worth at least 2 wins for the bears, all by his lonesome......

Forget the fact that Josh Barrett, P-Hillis and Syd Thompson are some recent 7th round selections DEN made... 7th round picks in this draft are now gold, given that there will be no rookie free agent signing period for quite some time. Thus, we can now grab whoever would normally be the first call we make after the draft. Hey, every bit helps.

Some people must correct their mock and get the right picks. Denver has two 6th round picks:
Round 1 - 2
Round 2 -36
Round 2 - 46
Round 3 - 67
Round 6 - 186
Round 6 - 189
Round 7 - 246
n Friday, the NFL awarded a seventh round compensatory pick - number 246 overall - to the Broncos.
A total of 32 compensatory choices in the 2011 NFL Draft were awarded to 23 teams, with the Carolina Panthers receiving the most - three.
Under league rules, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. Only 21 such picks were awarded to clubs based upon this formula.
The Broncos did not meet the above criteria, however they were awarded one of 11 compensatory picks at the end of the seventh round based on draft order, to bring the total number of compensatory picks to 32 - the number of teams in the league.
The team now holds seven picks in April's draft. One in the first (2), two in the second (36 and 46), a third (67), two in the sixth (186 and 189) and now one in the seventh (246).sigpic
