If that's the case, shouldn't we look for a quality DE as well? Dumervil coming back from torn pec, Ayers unproven as DE. That's the problem. Not enough for picks for such a weak roster. Some areas will remain in serious trouble.

Paea and Dareus, bad combo. Both play the same run stuffing style and are non existent to very unimportant in defending the pass. Cmon guys...

Denver is fantastic at DE, compared to the rest of the D. They have two promising DEs, and former college stud out of the 43 DE who didn't transfer to 34 in Veikune, and a very capable player in Hunter. Not a position of need, no matter if Dumervil goes down or not. A late rounder or FA pickup woukd be the biggest addition needed.

If they play well against the run, great. That's their main job. And "non existent" is a bit harsh. Dareus had 11 sacks in 2 seasons, Paea had 14 sacks in 3 seasons. It's not easy to find a DT reaching 10+ sacks in 1 season. That's why Fairley is so intriguing despite the concerns.

I dont want so rude but cmon dude. They dont play the same position. Please research. paea is a penetrating quick footed penetrating DT who gets thin and penetrates. Darius is a guy who can anchor against the run and create a pile.

Darius also can play either DT spot so immediatly your comment isnt true. Cmon man.

Those number wont translate, neither has power or finesse moves, just a bull rush. You can't pancake an NFL G or push him into the QB. (Stanley Daniels is an exception)

I love it when when people refer to spelling when they get proven wrong.

Please refer to my early comment. I dont need to say it again

It was a friendly joke, bro, chill out.

Next time, try to argue like an adult and not like a child and say "no!" When someone says otherwise.

Anyways, he has an excellent bull rush and long arms. He does not penetrate, but push the offensive lineman back into the QB. Add that to the disadvantage of having long arms and you wonder how well he will get to the QB, considering he's now going up against much greater lineman.

Give me Jurrell Casey, Drake Nevis, or Corey Liuget if he drops and Dareus is the pick.

Whats wrong with having two good run stuffers in the middle? Nothing. When the Vikings dline when is their prime with the Williams Wall teams did not run up the middle on them. It sure would be nice to have that 'problem' with our dline.

Right now we have our pass rusher with Elvis (who isnt great against the run), so we need extra beef in the middle to make up for for it.

Dareus and Paea would be an outstanding young combo at DT.

Ok. I thought you were having a go. Sorry. But anyway if you look at Paea the reason his bull rush which he does use but not as often as you beleive will be successful IMO at the next level is due to his amazing upper body strength and natural leverage.

However if you are saying that he doesnt penertrate and refering to PAEA then dude you really need to watch more of him. He is the best penertrating DT after Nick Fairley
