The Denver Broncos have conducted a private workout for Nevada outside linebacker-defensive ends Dontay Moch and Ryan Coulton, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
They also worked out for an undisclosed AFC team.
Moch tore up the NFL scouting combine with a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash along with a 42-inch vertical leap and a 10-8 broad jump at 6-foot-1, 248 pounds.
He was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a junior with six sacks and 19 1/2 tackles for losses and 22 tackles for losses and 8 1/2 sacks as a senior.
He was a three-year starter who recorded 64 tackles last season.
As a sophomore, he recorded 9 1/2 sacks and 15 tackles for losses.
Moch projects to outside linebacker in the NFL, especially for 3-4 schemes.
Meanwhile, Coulson is a 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive captain who draws high marks for his toughness and work ethic. He excelled during positional drills and film study during the workout.
Couslson doubles as a long snapper.
He was unable to take part in all drills at his campus Pro Day workout due to a minor hamstring injury.
Last season, he recorded 55 tackles.
He was given an academic award and named third-team all-conference by one publication.

An undersized rush linebacker who looks better suited to make the move to outside backer in the NFL. Possesses natural bend in his stance, keeps his base down, head up and generates an above-average first step off the football. Plays hard and fast as a pass rusher, does a nice job keeping his pad level down into contact on his bull, can pump his legs through contact and does a nice job initially walking defenders into the backfield. Likes to work his outside club to the corner as well and has a good burst off of it as long as he can play linear. However, struggles to drop his base, maintain balance and really accelerate around the corner when trying to flatten out around the outside. Consistently allows himself to get upright, exposes too much of his frame and can easily be reached and pushed past the pocket. At times is willing to work his club counter back inside, but again allows himself to get upright, which takes away from his initial burst. Doesn't do a great job using his length or hands to shed blocks when engaged, gets upright which negates his power and can easily be handled throughout contact. Possesses good suddenness when asked to redirect and stunt inside. Is used all over as a pass rusher/blitzer and will stand up and rush from the inside. Closes well once he gains a step, but again, doesn't seem to possess the pass rush arsenal to routinely win vs. 1v1 blocks on the outside.
Doesn't have the type of girth to consistently win vs. the run game as a down DE. Displays some power for his size and will take on blocks well, but doesn't disengage real quickly initially into contact and is often forced to wait until the play is past to work in pursuit. Exhibits a good motor and great closing speed from the backside, but I do have questions about his fluidity to hold up in the pass game in the NFL.
