I know I would cry seeing him coming at me, if I had time to cry

He isn't going to be the pass rusher that a lot of people hope but...I think when you let him play aggressive against the run and blitz once in a while.
It may sound odd but he is a very good blitzer but not a great pass rusher.

For the most part when it comes to Moch either you are picking him because you are super impressed by his athleticism or you just declare him to be another "combine warrior". He'll surprise some folks because he can play football pretty well.
He's definitely a better blitzer than a pass rusher, he used his speed to get his sacks/TFLs in college, in the NFL that won't always work and since he struggles to get off blocks he won't have much success at DE until he learns a few pass rushing moves. At LB he'd be able to utilize his speed to get to the QB and more often than not a FB or RB will be picking him up and he can probably get off of them. He's a project with a ton of potential, just needs to be polished up.

That would be awesome if we were able to pick up Dontay Mock with our second second. I really doubt he will make it past the end of the second round. Playoff teams are always looking for passrushers/disruptive players.

Moch and Miller are very alike in most aspects except draft value.

I like what miller brings to the table but I am afraid that he is a much better fit in a 3-4 as a OLB vs a SLB in a 4-3 I just can't bring myself to risk that with the #2 overall pick. That is why I like Moch more he is alot like Miller except he doesn't carry the same price tag. I think Moch could be around for our pick in the 3rd and I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him there since we do lack a good option at the SLB spot. Depending on how the draft plays out (LB's Foster & Carter) I might take a shot on him with the later of our 2nd round picks.

There are several teams in the late part of the 1st that need a pass rusher such as the Patriots/Jets/Ravens/Packers. Any of them could take a gamble on him. While he might be a project he has considerable upside, and very good intangibles.

Probably won't happen but crazier things have happened...

Ive had him in my mock for a while now....Not terribly fond of him (moch) but he is 100% exactly what fox looks for in his LB...Also- Moch is a convert DE. Those two factors led me to believe we will take him with our 2nd 2nd. Bit of a reach but I think they want him and do not believe he will last til round 3 when we pick again.
Good point - he might be a target for us in the third round.

NFP had him rated as the 96th best prospect, just behind Quan Sturdivant. Perhaps we'll even consider him in the second round.

He's an athletic freak for sure but he really didn't dominate (and was against weaker competition). I think most teams won't project him as a starter within a few years, but more as a valuable backup so i'll throw out my prediction of more late 3/early 4 on him, draftniks like him more than the teams will. Be a good pick for us if we would end up in that range and he would be available, I think with our early 3rd I like to picture us getting a guy who I see more likely to start.
From what I understand he is definitely a guy that could easily shoot up draft boards. There are plenty of 3-4 teams looking for a great edge rusher, and his speed/burst will get him notice by teams. He might be a bit of a project but teams might think that he'll reach his considerably high upside.
I think he'll go by the end of the 3rd. I think he most likely goes in the mid-late 2nd, but I would not be surprised if he sneaks into first.

Moch is the most overhyped player, ever.

He doesn't have anything except speed, and in the big leagues, speed doesn't get you anywhere when you're trying to get to the passer.

Good thing he'll probably be a Raider.

Moch is definitely an interesting guy.
He's an athletic freak, a great tackler, and decent in coverage. He could possibly be a SAM LB with his ability to shed blocks (as a former DE he does this pretty well). As far as covering guys go I think he's right where Von Miller is, both aren't very technically skilled but we aren't picking Moch with the #2 so I can deal with that problem. That being said he'd make a fantastic WILL one day as well, but I don't see him as a day one starter because I'm not ready to move DJ, and I want a starter at where he is going to be picked. He'd be a great WILL because he can use his athleticism to its best, not worry too much about coverage and blitz quite a lot.

I'll be honest I like Moch for the Broncos more than Miller mostly because I like how Moch handles blocks, and most importantly I think as far as a 4-3 linebacker goes Moch gives us a better value for the spot.
