Listened mainly to the Broncos section, can't say I disagree a whole lot.

Basically they said they were ok with taking Von over Dareus, but the biggest problem they had was us not taking a DT anywhere in the draft. They don't really like the Orlando Franklin pick he looks more of the part than his on field play suggests. They would have rather us taken Paea or Austin (which I wholeheartedly agree) the felt we reached on Nate, they liked the Carter pick bur weren't happy we took 2 safeties, they thought it was stupid we took 2 TEs which I disagree with the patriots did the same thing and it works out well, they didn't like Mohammed pick, but liked the Beal pick
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?

To be fair, they ran out of time because they tried to qualify their arguments for the other three teams.

They didn't like taking 2 safeties and TE's, and not taking a DT. They liked the safeties and TE's as prospects, but thought grabbing two of each was a waste.

To be fair they did say they understand that FA hasn't taken place yet, but they were grading it like normal.

Have they seen our S and TE situation, I don't see how grabbing two of each is a bad thing.

I think Fox likes what he see's in Franklin and hopefully can coach out the kinks in his game, they said they saw him alot at Miami and in practices and he stood out.

I won't get too deep in the DT debate but I think the D is 2-3 offseasons away from being a very good unit and in our current state you just grab talent, anywhere on D. I would rather have a good safety then an average DT, I remember when we passed on Ed Reed for Lelie because we 'needed' a WR.

I like Paea but Austin is a huge underachiever and I did not want him at all, Fox said we wouldn't of drafted him.

Irving was not a reach in round 3, he was a mid round projection and Parcells had him as a round one player and the best ILB

I have no problem with the 2 TE's/S's.

In fact I don't hate any of our picks, they are all guys I actually really liked in terms of prospects. But that being said...in the same way you build a house from the foundation up, I think a defense needs to be built from the line up. Not addressing it will hurt us at some point unless we pull out blank checks in FA (which I'm definitely not a fan of).

...and to think, they could have drafted Dareus, followed by Paea and Austin, and in doing so, would have re-built the D-line interior in one draft with two legit first round talents, and a complimentary DT in Paea to go with them...

And to think... Tebow's blind side would be protected by a former UDFA who has never played before, the back 7 of the defense would be pure crap and pure crap for the future, and Richard Quinn would play 90% of the time.

Oh, not to mention at least every one in three defensive tackles busts.

Um no it wouldn't, if we took the 3 DTs we still would have gotten, Irving, Julius Thomas, Quinton Carter, Mohammed, Virgil Green, and Jermey beal.

The back of the defense would be the same minus Moore(who isn't much if any improvement over McBath) and woodyard would start and he was solid there when he played

And we would still have both TEs it wouldn't just be Quinn 90% of the time

As for the tackle portion now stay with me, we resign Harris who is actually proven he is good.
