Bitter? Well, loopholes like that make one quite angry.

Two sets of standards are an example of hypocrisy. These NFL players seem to be able to go around and do whatever the heck they want and not have any ramifications for it. Sure, they may go to prison but the second they get out they still have the NFL there waiting for them that way they can go back to doing whatever the heck they want as soon as they are released from prison.

Whatever they want to do is alright. They can run over police giving tickets, they can run over people and kill them, they can buy illegal guns, they can commit murder, they can have multiple DUI's, they can rape women, heck, they all seem to have the attitude that they can forget the law.

Being in prison is being in prison.

I don't care if he was sent there for robbing a little old lady on the street and got a year for it or if he robbed a bank and got away with thousands of dollars. There are rules in society and you break them you do the time. Plaxico decided he wanted to be a big bad man and bought a gun illegally and decided to go into a club with it concealed on his person.

Gun went off and he hurt himself. An idiot walking around with an illegally obtained gun is lucky that all he hurt was himself. I fully understand that you feel that since he is an NFL player he is above everything. I completely understand it. If an NFL player went off and committed murder he is clearly innocent because he is an NFL player because NFL players do no wrong.

Plaxico committed a crime and was sent to prison. If it was myself or any other person that wasn't a millionaire for playing a professional sport we would not have our jobs waiting for us when we got out. But, since these are NFL players we are talking about they are above us. They had a good career and messed it up. So, they are entitled to their job when they get out of prison.

If anything Plax got a raw deal to be an example of

Because he is an NFL player

Going into camp at the end of July we would have

Brandon LLoyd- one year wonder, teams will game plan him better in 2011

Jabbar Gaffney- not a dominant reciever

Eddie Royal- apart from his rookie year, has been disapointing.

Decker- 2nd year player, hasn't shown anything yet, we hope he develops

Willis- coming back from injury, pre-season expert, we hope he contributes

Elron Riley- practice squad guy, hasn't done anything in the NFL, we hope he contributes

Britt Davis- another practice squad guy, we hope he contributes

    The WR depth is decieving.
The WR depth is great and promising. How will we ever know what we have and how will they develop if we sign Plax to play ahead of them and probably not ever be any more productive than Lloyd, Royal or Gaffney. We ain't winning a superbowl and signing Plax is silly.

But, he's played in the NFL so that makes him entitled to get a nice cushy NFL job.

They don't live by the same rules us peons do.

Brandon Lloyd is a better all around receiver than Plax by far. Not to mention he doesn't drop passes.

Thomas and Royal should both be back by atleast week 8.

Eric Decker, Jabar Gaffney, and Matt Willis are all very good depth players.
well i would put that gaff is on his way out for willis or riley but decker is on the cusp of starting and should not be consider a depth player in my oppions

    we have

Lloyd thomas royal and decker all who can be in discussions of starting WR, three of them are some of the oungest WR.

right now i feel thomas is a TO 2.0 with his size speed all he needs to do is put it together which will happen by the end of 2012 and we will have a dominate number 1 in him.

Team began to do that. He was receiving constant double teams late in the season. Still managed to make plays. Do you think teams did not pick up what he was doing in 2010 in 2010 and adjusted.

    Gaffney-an okay reciever

Yep. Solid number 2/slot receiver. Why replace him with Plax. Gaffney is a strong consistant receiver.

Decker- unproven we hope he turns out to be a great player

My point on developmental players. Plus he has been very good when in the game.

Willis- also unproven at the NFL we hope he turns out to be a great player

Me too. Had a great preseason and I am excited about him.

Royal- coming off Hip surgery ????
we hope he can go full speed when the season starts.

He will be fine and no different.

Thomas- forget about 2011, it usually takes about 8 months to heal from archiles injuries after surgery, and then he will start running, and after then there is no guarantee he will get back to 100 percent in terms of explosiveness. Again we hope.

We will see. He will more than likely start on PUP and maybe come back late in the year. We have no updates on the injury so we don't know. However he will be relatively ineffective in 2011.

    Alot of ????????????????????????????

a team that goes 4-12 is not set at any position.
Of course a 4-12 is set at some positions. Champ, Dumervil, Clady, Miller, Lloyd.

My point on developmental receivers is that how do they ever develop if they are on the bench. They need game time and we are not winning the superbowl this year, so it is time for youth across the board.

Also Thomas is out for the year with an archilies injury, no guarantees that he will fully recover from it. Royal just had hip surgery, our WR depth is deceptive. The Broncos should explore every opportunity to get better.
Are you serious. So only QB's are kept for developmental reason. That has to be top 5 sillies things I have heard.

I disagree. Our core is fine. We don't need anyone.

Yes LLoyd only had one good season, i just hope he can overcome teams game planning for him in 2011. Forget about Thomas he is not coming back this year. Royal apart from his rookie year hasn't put up great numbers. I have my doubts about the receiving core. And what good will the practice squad do for the Broncos win/loss record in 2011.

With DT out having a big body at WR would be helpful. Maybe I'm just not to comfortable with having Lloyd and Eddie as 1 & 2.

Oh the ignorance of Charlie on here makes me laugh, it's people like him that hold us back as a society. He carried a weapon into a bar for PROTECTION, not to shoot it up. As for his contract stuff, I never thought of him as a top 10 guy imo, top 20 for sure but he has a different than Vick does - he can come back and be productive quicker than Vick did. He'll end up in Philly as soon as this lockout is over, count it.
