Okay, first off, I am in NO way suggesting we get him. This is more of a rant...

Adam on ESPN yesterday said "... blah blah blah... but they won't be able to pay him what he wants..."

Okay, who the hell is Plax that he thinks he might be in a position to demand a certain pay? If anything the man should feel lucky if he even get's signed to a vet minimum!!! Add some incentives and make him earn what he feels he might be worth!!!!

One of the few times I have watched sportscenter this year and I saw him say that. I was thinking, Mike Vick took a huge pay cut is Plax just going to get some money because his reason was less serious?

Plaxico isn't gonna get the money he wants (unless he signs with Oakland) Just like Vick, he's gonna have to take a huge pay cut. If he wants more money, he's gonna have to prove himself again, like Vick did.

To be fair...we don't know exactly what he is asking for in terms of money. He might be willing to take a paycut but thinks he is worth more than the veteran minimum or something.

And I would hardly have called Plaxico elite at any point during his career, much less right now. That being said I think he can still come in and be somewhat successful. He's had rest time in jail and hopefully he isn't too far behind physically.

I strongly disagree with the term "elite" when referred.. expecially since he's not been working out for football for as long as it's been.

Plax was good. Not elite, not even close to being elite. He's older, hasn't done anything football related in years....and just wasn't that good prior to jail. That being said... I hope he does well, the time he got for that gun incident was absurd.

The jail argument could have been made for Vick too and at a tougher position, and look how he turned out. Did you watch Plax, because he single-handedly beat the Packers en route to his SB ring, ad when we played against him, he dominated Champ, how many can say that?

I'm not saying he wasn't good. I'm saying at any given point in his career there were at least 5 WR's better then him, and to me that isn't 'elite'.

Vick was a major exception. Vick had/has the most potential of any QB in the history of the NFL. Just pure nastiness. That you just can't coach. Plaxico doesn't have that, and he's older.

I wish nothing but the best for Plax, but I'm not expecting much from him.

Vick was nasty? He couldn't complete a pass if his life depended on it. He was on a show called "Pros vs. Joes", and he got his ass kicked. Ten years ago, I would have paid anything to have him replace #87
