No it's not the time, you start rebuilding by adding proven vets to build around. When you're established thats when you can add UDFA.

Look at the Lions, they were rebuilding, they hit some homers in the past couple draft, do you think they are still going for homers or solid hits at this point?

Proven vets are for when you are established and need a bit more to reach a SB.

I agree. When you're at the bottom of the pile like the Broncos, you start looking in every nook and cranny to find talent. It does two things:

1. You might hit on one or even a few
2. It really reinforces your scouting and talent evaluation.

okay, so this is based on YOUR, and only YOUR speculation on Tennessee, Miami, Minnesotta, Cincy, or even Oakland not needing a quarterback that Orton's value has magically plummeted, even compared to what reporters are saying teams are willing to give up. Look, a team WILL give up a first for Kolb, and another team WILL need a good quarterback that can win. Orton is on contract for 8M (not 10), so if a team would be willing to restructure and extend years on a contract for a good quarterback, they'd give a second for Orton, no doubt.

So...who turned out to be right on this?
