Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

If the players vote to agree to the deal, that both the player reps and owners agreed too. Teams can talk trades starting this afternoon, and sign THERE free agents. Trades will not become official until Saturday.
So happy to have football so close and these boards are about to explode with arm chair quarterbacks, yup everyone will be guessing on everything. SO MUCH FUN!!!
I am not an Orton fan, in reference to the Broncos winning a superbowl. IMO though, he did far greater than I expected. He gets roasted on here for many different things But we should all be appreciative for the effort and job he did while wearing a broncos uniform, if indeed this is his final days.
We received 2 first round picks, Orton and a third for Cutler and a fifth, and I would submit that the drop-off between Cutler and Orton was not THAT significant.
So if this is the end Kyle, thank you for your effort, it is not your fault that we were not successful. You will never be a winning Super Bowl QB, but you did your job well, while here in Denver.

I agree, we should appreciate what he has done, but though it seems he has not done much, he did put up some good numbers, he was just not clutch.
The defense itself was not the cause of the 6-0 start season, Orton himself is not the cause of last years horrid season.
On another note, who are some players you could see being traded during this time before the regular season?

I agree with this he is a decent QB if you got a line to give him time and a running game and D to help him manage a game. But us Denver fans aren't accustomed to game managers we want the gun slingers who can put the team on their back and lead are team. So hopefully Orton ends up on a team that can play to his strengths and I thank him for posting the best numbers of his career.:thumb:
I wonder something about this "trades not official until saturday thing...
Let's say Denver and Minnesota agree to a Orton trade tomorrow, will the news/terms of the deal still get announced that day? Or it will be more of a "rumour mill" of "Sources say Denver and Minn have agreed to a trade" where we will not find out any details until the Saturday.
Basically, will trades get announced as soon as they happen making Saturday a simple formality, or will they all be kept on the downlow and not actually official until Saturday?

It's possible a source could leak out that there is deal, but the deal would not be official till Saturday, if that answers the question.
