  • A little perspective as to why we aren't making Big Moves right now

First let me give you an abstract rundown of what he did in the combine. He is 5'10 230 lbs. and runs the 40 yard dash in 4.38 seconds. He was also a top performer in the vertical jump with a 37 inch leap. You'd think a guy this big wouldn't be able to run that fast, or jump that high, but the guy can do both! Check out this video in the link below. It's a 2 minute highlight reel of him. He can catch, and he blows by guys and actually has some good shake-n-bake moves too. Here is the video below :

Fannin never ran for 500 yards in any of his four seasons at Auburn, not sure I would call him a steal! How many hundreds of college players were selected in the draft ahead of him??>? :paper:

He also never had 100 carries so what's ur point? The guy avg 6 ypc for his career! And over 10 per catch. And he averaged 8.4 ypc b4 they had cam! In the SEC!

Great height-weight-speed, great combine, still doesn't get drafted. Something just doesn't add up about him.

You may not have heard much from Mario Fannin during Auburn's National Championship season, but the versatile RB-FB combo brought a lot to the table in colle...

I think Fannin would be great to use in RB screens

No run a double screen with fanning going one way and KM going the other way ... yes that's what we should do and then when the defence catches on they forget about tebow and he takes off yup perfect play

It's because in his 4 years at Auburn he couldn't fix his fumbling problem. IF that can be fixed, and that's a big if, then he can be a playmaker for us.

Also he's a great blocker; CBS sports once mentioned that it is close to fullback caliber. Maybe he can be a hybrid HB for us that stays in on short yardage situations with Moreno (or whoever else) and can be thrown in a few times a game as a change of pace.

                  haynesworth or cullen?

I want Haynesworth because despite his character issues when he PLAYS he might be the most disruptive DT in the NFL and cullen has never produced like him. Also cullen has had major injuries and its worth noting haynesworth just turned 30(6 months younger than cullen) he has at least 5 pro bowl caliber years left in the tank imo. Who's your choice?

Well there is a reason he wasn't drafted. I don't know what it is but somethings amiss there. He does look okay in those highlights but not as fast playing speed as I would have thought. The NFL game is much faster and wasn't exatcly blowing by people in those clips unless they were standing still. I hope he proves to be a great commodity for us. Just want to know why he was UFA.

Honestly, I was kind of excited about this kid before I saw that video. Now I have a feeling he'll be lucky to ever make a starting roster in the NFL.

"cullen has never produced like him"

                        Where are you getting this?

                        Check their stats.

In 9 years Haynesworth has 30.5 career sacks.

In 7 years Jenkins has 29.0 career sacks.

I'd take Jenkins any day over Haynesworth. I'll take my chances on injuries that may or may not happen rather than a terrible work ethic.

I forgot than Haynesworth has been healthy every year. NOT.

He hasn't had a full season since his rookie year, when I believe he wasn't even starting.

Last year also proved that he was in pretty terrible shape, so that hurts as well.

Let us not forget that he is being charged for TWO crimes right now, fondling a waitress and assaulting a dude.

I would get both players. We could use Vickerson and Marcus Thomas as backups rotating in.
