Thanks for posting this. The Denver Post could not get a list like this together for some reason. I have been looking for a summary like this.

      • Curt Porter, Jacksonville State, 6'7" 315; has played all OL positions including C; Is projected as a RT in the NFL; once had a good game against Jerrell Powe limiting him to two tackles in a double overtime upset of Ole Miss.

        Adam Grant, Arizona, 6'6" 325

        • I'm pretty familiar with Adam Grant and the whole AZ team since they are my college team of choice. He has some skills but they are pretty average in both pass and run blocking. He definitely has the size but strength is average and he didn't do very well in run blocking, not much power and rarely dominated his man. AZ threw a lot of screens and he seemed to do ok in blocking those types of plays but overall he is a work in progress and a PS guy at best. Just my opinion but I do watch every AZ game that I can.

As an aside, if the team needs a WR next year, 1st-3rd round, Juron Criner will be a very good player. Watch Ricky Elmore for the Packers this year. He will probably be an OLB there. Brooks Reed got all the hype during the combine but Elmore is what made that defense go. If he gets a chance to play, he can do well.

Scouting reports on Grant say he doesn't have good knee and ankle bend/flexibility which hinders breaking down and driving on his blocks.

That makes sense. I tend to think he got by on his size for a long time and didn't work on his technique as much as he should have. Could wrong about that though. maybe with some good coaching he can develop his technique and be able to contribute. I'm pulling for my AZ guy

              • Mario Fannin was a HS QB whose fumbling issues may have resulted from the way he carries the ball. That sounds correctable. He is such a good blocker, he was moved to FB during the second half of Auburn's 2010 season. He caught almost 100 passes for almost 1000 yards and 9 TDs in four seasons. His blocking and receiving skills, his size (5'10" 230) and his sub 4.4 40 speed have some speculating he might make the Broncos roster as a FB. That he can throw a football adds an extra intriguing dimension.
