Well I can sort of believe them when it comes to Paea. Maybe he thought it'd be a risk to draft him because it's harder to play DT with those measurables, but Mebane has already had plenty of success so they don't feel it's an issue with him. I'd like to believe they were talking about the risk factor rather than the scheme factor, but I also have a lingering feeling that they're just talking out their ass.

Until Orton comes to a new contract agreement with Miami, the deal won't get done. It doesn't matter what the compensation is.

The only thing I heard was that we had already agreed to compensation and the only holdup was Orton restructuring his contract.
Thats what was being reported yesterday afternoon and yesterday evening
EDIT: This is what i found in the Elway thread about his radio interview this morning
- "Orton is the starter, have been listening to calls for him, looking for best thing for Broncos. Going to come out to compete for the job, he's coming out today. Plan all along. Rumors are false about asking for a 2nd."Last edited by LightningRodBob; 07-28-2011, 09:40 AM.

It's also obvious now that Denver sees Jeremy Jarmon as a DT, which completely flabbergasts me. I guess we are going with that 4 DE D-line idea some folks have floated. The Giants had success with that, but they also had legit DTs filtered in as well.
There are still options available. We'll see what happens.sigpic
