Why were the Ravens so ready to get rid of Trent Dilfer after he lead them to the Super Bowl? Obviously it's not all about wins and losses, but who helps produce a win and a loss more effective than somebody else. You can win and get canned, you can lose and get a huge contract. It happens all the time.
Tebow could throw for 1,000yds and 10TDs and we still lose and it doesn't matter at the end of the day it's a loss plain and simple no matter how you spin it

So if Tebow goes 5/19 for 78 yards 0 TD's, 3 INT's and we lose, that's the same as if he goes 22/29 for 288 yards 2 TD's 0 INT's and we lose?

One indicates future growth of a young player which leads to more wins, one indicates we're losing and our young players suck, which leads to more losses.

Suppose we play the Raiders week one, and lose 21-14, but Von Miller has two sacks, Tebow plays pretty well, Eric Decker has 83 yards and a TD, Rahim Moore has a pick, Knowshon has 100 yards, and Ayers got a sack and constant pressure.

Now then, suppose we play the Raiders week one, lose 21-14, Mario Haggan has three sacks, Von Miller makes one tackle, Rahim Moore gets burnt for 2 TD's, Andre Goodman has 2 INT's, Orton plays pretty well, Ayers does nothing, Knowshon has 3 YPC but McGahee tops 100, and newly signed DT Justin Bannan has a sack and tons of pressure.

What case makes you feel better?
Each case includes a loss to the raiders which is unacceptable.

to practice yes, but they are allowed in the facilities and are allowed to go to team meetings. So if he was signed he would be at Seattle.

The problem is we were getting embarrassed with 50 year old defenders dotting the landscape, giving us no hope for the future.

I doubt the Browns felt that embarrassed watching promising rookies and young players perform well for them last year, same goes for the Lions.

There's losing with no hope for the future (what we felt early in the season) and losing but coming away excited with the growing potential being witnessed on the field (what we felt when we were losing with Tebow).
There's nothing worse than having the oldest team in the NFL and finish 4-12. I don't want old free agents, lets see what our young players can do for once.

No way you seriously believe that.
yes I do, at the end of the day it's a loss, and all that matters is wins and losses.
