The Broncos’ strategy in phase II of free agency is to resurrect former top 10 draft picks. According to two NFL sources, the Broncos have reached an agreement with former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Derrick Harvey, who was selected No. 8 overall in the 2008 draft. Harvey will swing as a backup defensive end behind Elvis Dumervil and Robert Ayers. Mario Haggan has moved back to the strongside linebacker position behind rookie Von Miller.

I like it. Another DE. Only 24 years old, his best football is still ahead. He can play against the run and must develop as a pass rusher like Robert Ayers. But Harvey has 8 sacks in 3 years while Ayers has 1.5 sacks in 2 years. Beal, Jarmon, Harvey. That's a good group of young DEs that can be developed.
