I for one, do not think Goodman is done, and if he is we have some stud young DB's that I think would be up for the challenge. But I do want Warren! and D.J. has been a staple in this defense for some time and is solid to say the least, he's gotta be a lifer. I think at this point we have the perfect mix of young talent, and veteren leadership on both sides of the ball, I have a good feeling about how this team is going to come together these next few years.

Eh I say no to all of it. Not that they're bad ideas, I just think we should stick with what we have. Keep some continuity for once, grow our defense with youngsters and stop flipping out players and DC's. Warren is getting old and would just get in the way of younger players getting more snaps.

Bad idea IMO. DJ does have issues off the field but has done what was asked of him on the field. That's the attitude we need our young players to be around...... "TEAM FIRST "

I actually wouldn't mind any of that. Warren would give us a great DE/DT, We get a great corner in Asante, and Lofa could replace DJ for a year, and mentor guys like Irving or Mays.

As for getting Samuel, he would fill a need because what happens if Cox goes to jail? Goodman's injury prone, and old, and I like Thompson, but he's not ready to be alongside Champ Bailey yet. Can you imagine a backfield of Champ Bailey, Asante Samuel, Brian Dawkins, and Rahim Moore? Crazy!

    Let's do it!

Like Warren (doubt we'll sign him), don't like trading DJ Williams for Asante and don't think Tatupu would be worth signing.

Both unnecessary and only going to get in the way of the younger guys.

The only real question remaining on this defense is CB #2, IMO.
Lofa is the same age as DJ. But I agree no if and that's a big if we traded DJ. Lofa wouldn't be the guy we sign, he is an ILB not an OLB

and they can still do that while asante is playing ahead of them. CB is that one position on defense you can't play around with. Also if a trade were to happen for asante the only way I see him restructuring is if the deal has more years (that's if he actually would want to stay in Denver) and a good bit of guaranteed money.

I like the idea of still signing Warren if the price is right. Rotate him, Bruntley, Vickerson and Thomas. That's not a bad crop of DT's. None of them elite, but four potentially solid run-stoppers.

No to trading DJ. We would be taking a step back.

He's 30, Champ is 34 and still at the top of his game.

Samuel has a lot left in the tank.

    Players can reconstruct their contracts.

That is the only position on defense that needs a tune up. Unless there is someone shining in training camp we ain't hear about yet
