  • Lance Briggs Requests Trade From Bears (Merged)

Too bad Denver is already full at starting backer...

One of the best 43 backers in the league, Briggs could be a huge pickup for someone, and a huge loss for a team.

I see NYG and MIN as possibiilities...

Even if we are good at the position, there is no probably with upgrading.

If he really is requesting a trade, and if the Bears will be willing to listen to offers, I think we should make one.

Throw him between Miller and DJ, or move DJ in and put Briggs on WLB.

You think they'd trade to a division rival?

A 30 year old who is whining about his contract again? He's a talented malcontent. If the FO wanted those kinds of guys, they would have traded for Haynseworth.

Briggs and Haynseworth are not on the same level.
I'm don't know if you know it or not, but Denver was in play for Albert. Pats made a offer first and a better one.

Briggs would be a good addition.

However, expensive, and not sure we find him worth what we'd have to give up. Plus, I think the Coaching staff likes the play of Mays.

We will see.....but I really, really doubt it.

We need to stop the run, and our D-line is suspect with the injuries, how do you make up for it? Have an epic corp of Linebackers to lend a hand, Mays, Miller, Williams, and Briggs? Uhhh yeah...check please...

But what would we have to give up for him is what I wonder.

He's not going anywhere, this is like the third time he's requested a trade. He was almost moved to Washington years back for a first. Nothing to see here.

Link? I heard John Elway say in an interview on the fan that they wouldn't be brining in Haynesworth. How about a link proving otherwise?

Yes I will gladly go running through google or yahoo to find a link.

If you want a link, go find yourself a link. It's pretty simple.

I'll take that as a no. There's never been anything said about the Broncos going after Haynesworth from a reliable source. Elway himself said that the Broncos weren't going to bring him in. Care to try again?

EFX also said the QB spot was/is a open competition when really it never was.

Someone posted before when Haynesworth was still with the Skins, that a report/rumor said Denver had a interest in Albert.

Wither you believe it or not, is up to you. I honestly don't care.

I think it was, and I think it was won by Orton after about 5 days. Can't fault a coach for seeing the obvious gap in skills between Orton and Tebow at this stage of their career.

Quinn and Tebow both got a chance to win #2 gig, Quinn didn't even get playing time in week 3.

Everything seemed very fair to me.

Pass on him. Plus at this stage in his career he probably wouldn't get higher than a 4th or 5th.
