    • I live in Houston, and judging by the way the media talks, we aren't getting Tate. Houston feels that he's as good as Foster, and they're using Tate as much as possible so that Arian doesn't produce as highly so they don't have to dish out CJ2K money

BINGO!!! I know they would love to have Foster at 100%, but this injury has been a "Blessing in disguise" for them.

        • I doubt it would matter who we put in the backfield if they're running into a brick wall on every play.
What we need are some good interior offensive linesmen, not another RB.

its not that they want to get rid of there good players its that they have two pretty good RBs. One can definitely carry the load and the other is showing he can. I dont see how they will keep two work horse type RBs on the roster instead of getting some value for one and improving a weaker position. I think the Texans would be open to trade offers at some point.

Bro, they got a REAL LIFE situation going on. Foster is hurt, Tate has been great with stepping up in his spot. Point is, you need good depth to suceed in this league. Plus neither one of them are "Breaking the Bank" so there really isn't a need to trade Tate.

Now i'm not saying that Tate isn't tradable, because everybody has a price, but the question is, how much is that price? They drafted Tate in the 2nd rd, and it would be stupid to think that they will let him go for anything less. At this point you're looking at a 2nd and a good player, or maybe a 1st, neither can we afford.

              • I'm not saying Tate doesn't have the talent to be a star, but it's the zone blocking scheme people. Remember when a lot of y'all went crazy for Steve Slaton after one year in the ZBS? I would not trade a first rounder for him, and the Texans would never trade him for less than that since they invested a 2nd. Dead issue. Our o-line is terrible anyways so he wouldn't do jack squat here.

Could we trade for their Oline and blocking scheme???

                  • Slaton, Tate, Foster. They've all had success running in Houston. The recurring theme isn't extremely talented running backs, it's a talented O-line which provides great blocking. You guys need to realise that yes, some RBs are better than others and could definitely help us, but an RB without a good o-line is like awesome rims on a car without an engine - he just won't have success.

Walton has been awful this year and Franklin needs to improve. They're bigger problems than the RB situation.

I know that analogy all to well lol.

Runningback: say what you want, but if we had a premier back to take the load off our passing game we'd have an explosive offense.
                        1. Trent Richarson. Plain and simple, he'd put the offense on his back
                        2. Knile Davis. He probably won't declare, but if he does he'd be a good fit

                        Quarterback
                        1. Andrew Luck. Duh.
                        2. Matt Barkley. I love him as a prospect, could lead a franchise
                        3. Robert Griffin III. The more I picture him in orange and blue the more I love him
                        4. Landry Jones. Prototypical, good size, accuracy, and arm

                        Defensive Tackle
                        1. Jerel Worthy would be a good first round pick
                        2. Marcus Forston. I don't think we got DT in the first even though it's a need, so we go DT in the second

                        Cornerback
                        1. Dre Kirkpatrick. Shutdown corner in the making
                        2. Morrice Claiborne. Watch LSU, and you won't need to question this.
                        3. Cliff Harris. Ballhawk, explosive

Wide Receiver, after this year who's our #1?
                        1. Justin Blackmon. I wake up in the morning and hope that we draft him.
                        2. Alshon Jeffery
                        3. Michael Floyd
                        4. Jeff Fuller, a number one that can be had in the second

                        Defensive End
                        1. Quinton Coples. Paired with Dumervil and Miller, we'd give offenses fits. He'd be a BPA pick.

                        Safety
                        1. Robert Lester. Best cover safety in the draft
                        2. Mark Barron. Great SS prospect
                        3. TJ McDonald. Big tackling safety that covers.
                        4. Ray Ray Armstrong. Freak, covers and lays wood.

                        MLB
                        1. Vontaze Burfict. The only candidate for me, because nobody else is an upgrade
Did you not watch Barkley? He's lost 8 games in less than 2.5 years. He threw 2 INTs Saturday night to an unworthy opponent. I like Jones & RG3. Where's Mike Martin at DT. He's an absolute PLAYMAKER. What about Kovacs, the S from Michigan?

Might as well throw Nick Foles in there too. He is going to be a very fine NFL QB. 1400 yards, 10 TDs and 0 INTs so far in 183 attempts, playing on a bad AZ team. He will be the steal of the QB class next year.

Key stat there...0 INTs in 183 attempts!!!!!

I'm talking Blackmon has better hands, he makes more/better catches.

Jeffery is HUGE, that's all he has on Blackmon, and yes in the NFL that does mean
a lot. Everything else Blackmon is better at.

And as far running after contact, just watch Blackmon. A ton of his catches, like
Bryants in college, are shorter crossing routes and bubble screens because of
how good he is after the catch. I get your saying after contact, but do you not
see him break arm tackle after arm tackle and shrug off plenty of DBs when you
watch him? Because everyone else does.
I'm not saying Blackmon is bad, in fact he is very good at all those things. However, Jeffery is amazing at all those things. He makes catch after catch with defenders draped all over him. Last year he dropped just 1 pass. He has embarrassed elite competition in Kirkpatrick, Peterson, and Jenkins. Blackmon is very good, but Jeffery is just on another level
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
                              I don't know and I don't care

Looks like TRich is gonna be the real deal. Wouldn't
mind getting him depending on who's left when we pick.
