  • Pre-Season 2012 NFL Mock Draft

Hey guys, I just re-did my mock draft for the start of the 2011 season. Completely overhauled the site so I would love to hear your feedback on both the site and the mock if you don't mind.

Seahawks RB-Clayton "may" not make the team

Watching the SEA vs OAK game and this guy is impressive! The announcers were saying how he may not make the team due to already decent depth @ RB. If so, we better pick him up. He would be a great 3rd RB option.

He's had a roller coaster career but why not give him a chance

Alot of back and forth between the patriots and browns there. Not sure what to make of it.

I feel you on that. Im still keeping an eye on Slaton ever since the rumor about him possibly getting cut. He would be an upgrade from Johnson and an excellent fill in for Moreno if he were to be hurt. But if JJ were to make the team I would be fine with that. But ball needs to go.

Stafon Johnson and William Moore have also been cut. Both of them could be good for us.

Lance Ball and jerimiah Johnson have been fine in their role in the pre season and will be two nice backups in this runningback core. Honestly all of this talk about waiver pickups will not improve us in anyway. They are all the same types of players. Average fringe guys. The benifit that these guys have is that they are already in and understand what we are trying to do here.

Lance Ball is quick and agile and runs hard. Doesn't have the best vision but he is not scared to hit the hole and gets going quick.

Jerimiah Johnson a low center of gravity guy like Ball and runs hard. Not scared to hit the whole and has very nice speed.

I don't think we will get any better by picking up scraps of the waiver wire at running back unless there is a major suprise cut somewhere else which is very unlikely

Just because they get released, doesnt mean they are "scraps"...it could just be that a team has a lot of depth. And having the #2 claim, we hope to claim the players that actually can contribute (& most likely will happen)

You seem to like Ball (how many yards did he have Thurs??lol) and Johnson but how do u think we got them?? We definetly didnt draft them haha. Look, we are trying to fill the void in our 2nd string. Out of all the players cut today, not gonna be too hard to find players that are better than what we have.

DT, RB, CB, O-Line needs help, we cant enter the season with what we have. You want proof?? Watch the Broncos vs Cardinals

Clayton has been nothing but solid this preseason. If Denver determines they want to carry a 4th back, behind Moreno, McGahee, and Johnson, he could be an option.

Fosters restrained hammy is an issue right now, they dont know how well he can stay healthy or when exactly he will be 100% so chances are they wont cut him now they need the depth to keep Foster from aggravating his injuries

Slaton is the #4 RB at best in Houston, I don't think Foster's hamstring has any bearing on keeping Slaton or not.

I'd rather take Kirkpatrick over Coples but I'd be happy with either. I'd be happy with Richardson as well. Also for the Texans pick (Dont'a Hightower), the Chargers were the one's being talked about.

I like the setup and look of it.
I wouldnt mind getting Coples at #4 but I don't think were gonna be #4.
I would hate for the Raiders to get Jeffrey.

Carolina very well might be picking #1 again but WILL NOT go QB #1 overall 2 years in a row.

Barkley will not go #2 overall

would love to have Coples on the team.
