Who knows, the bulk of roster cuts haven't even happened yet.

I'm sure there will be 3-4 DT's better than Harris, we only need maybe 2-3.

Since the on the field incident with Deuce Lutui where he was forced to apologize its like theyve taken the fight out of the dog he used to be the best DT hands down in football but now a 1 year contract cant sustain him

Hes not great at the run anymore and he really is more of a disruptive presence. Still held be better then the field and he is the best player available. Hes probably even better then the UT's on hand.

Well, we could atleast let him compete with McBean. Where we really need depth is at the NT position. Bunckley is the only one on the roster....well, I guess Marcus Thomas can play it too.

WHat makes you think Dennis Allen wll run a 3-4 his experience is in a 4-3/3-5-3 yeah they tend to have some big lineman but its all about disrupting the o-line and getting into the backfield when they can. The 3-4 is more about occupying the O-line and preventing them from doing there jobs.

Im actually kinda surprised that they cut him. The games that I saw, he was making some plays. I'm still not too comfortable with the bodies we have at DT besides Bunkley, so it would make some sense to give him a look. He could do well with Bunkley in the middle and the " Orange Rush " we're projected to have this year

Pressley could be the backup since hes the only player we have who can play both positions (not well but hes better then Jarmon)

I didn't say he runs a 3-4. I said there are 3-4(as in 3 maybe 4) DT's that are better than harris.

Bunkley and Thomas are both supposed to start and be 100% week 1.

They say that but chances are they wont be 100% and ready to start.

I still think the NT position is more of an are of concern then the UT. I like the fact we have Bunkley and Vickerson for 3rd and long plays and having Thomas back will sure up the middle for a brief time but Thomas is barely a starter and honestly needs a solid rotation behind him if he does and McBean doesnt fully provide that. Ive underestimated McBean before so I hope I am wrong but I dont think theres much out there better then him

Still if we get Harris he will compete with Vickerson and honestly I doubt Bunkley wont be moved over to NT if Harris did sign and impressed the staff

He meant: There will be 3 or 4 better DTs available than Tommie Harris.

Gabe Watson maybe? A lot of people around here seem to like him.
